Position Overview

We’re looking for a Growth Marketing Associate to join our team. Your primary role will be to help develop and execute plans designed to increase word-of-mouth referrals into our new online degree program. You will own the specific goal of increasing our referral rate (the # of new students who come to us from word of mouth referrals).

You’ll have the opportunity to work with our amazing degree program students, enabling them to become ambassadors and champions in helping us attract new students. Utilizing events (virtual and in-person), social media, content, merch and other tactics, you’ll work with the Marketing, Admissions, and Student Support teams to develop and execute referral generating plans and strategies.

In addition, you’ll develop and execute plans to engage with influencers to generate awareness, interest and support for Campus and our mission. In our context, influencers is a broad term referring to social media influencers and content creators, mission-aligned nonprofits, HS guidance counselors and other audiences important to spreading the word about Campus.

What you’ll do

  • Create and execute marketing plans to to generate new referrals from our existing students
  • Plan and execute virtual and in-person events for our students (and their peer groups)
  • Work with current students to develop and promote content on our social media and blog channels
  • Collaborate and work closely with our Student Support team who work to deliver an optimized online student experience (academic, well-being, community)
  • Conduct research to build target lists of influencers; conduct outreach to targets lists to help help achieve defined marketing goals

About you

You’ll fit right in if you are/have:

  • Three to five years of relevant experience in one of the following areas: community management, social media, influencer marketing, content creation, or public relations.
  • You must have demonstrable experience planning and executing events (in-person or online).
  • Extroverts needed – you’ll need to thrive in an environment where you’re reaching out and making new connections and relationships
  • You should have the ability to think strategically to help develop effective plans and processes for growing our word-of-mouth referrals
  • We’re also looking for someone savvy and scrappy willing to develop, share and debate new ideas – if you’re looking to follow very specific direction, this is likely not the ideal role for you
  • Ability and willingness to learn new skills – this role is likely to surprise us; one day you might be a photographer, the next day you might be interviewing the most interesting students you’ll ever meet
  • You must have strong writing skills as you’ll be writing and sharing content on behalf of Campus to both internal and external audiences
