The Royal Caribbean Group’s Celebrity Cruises brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Account Executive, Social Media on the Marketing Team reporting to the VP, Global Brand Marketing and Communications.
Position Summary
The Account Executive, Social Media, is responsible for managing day-to-day social media functions across all channels (including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, and other emerging social media channels) from listening to ideation, briefing, executing and reporting. This role will also assist with influencer relationship management, engagement, and execution.
This position will work on-site in Miami, Florida.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Own social media execution and ensure all posts are posted/tagged correctly and go live on time across all channels.
- Assist with managing the social media editorial calendar and day-to-day of all social media channels according to the broader social media strategy.
- Analyze and assess performance across social media channels. Suggest improvements and enhancements including performance of individual posts and content, as well as broad trends across platforms.
- Assist with monthly and campaign-based reporting.
- Ideate creative concepts and strategies for all social media channels based on performance data.
- Serve as a point of contact for all social media platform and vendor partners that include, but are not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Dash Hudson, etc. Converse frequently with them to optimize these relationships and ensure the brand is leveraging all channel tools, best practices, and opportunities.
- Brief creative team or creative partners on social media content initiatives and provide feedback to receive finalized assets in a timely manner.
- Identify on-brand and quality user generated and influencer content to repurpose across social media channels.
- Monitor social media conversation to identify burgeoning brand, industry and societal issues and opportunities.
- Compile monthly and ad hoc social media listening reports with conversation trends and sentiment.
- Work closely with Celebrity Cruises’ PR and Engagement Center Teams to coordinate messaging accordingly.
- Respond to direct messages, comments and tagged user generated content in a timely manner, keeping brand tone and voice in mind.
- Ad hoc iPhone content capture and editing as needed (live Instagram stories, TikTok/Reels)
- Suggest influencer and social media brand partnerships and opportunities.
- Support with influencer sourcing, outreach, relationship management and overall influencer experience.
- Assist with influencer trip and event planning and execution, acting as a liaison cross-functionally and with the fleet.
Qualifications, Knowledge And Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, media studies, business and/or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience of brand marketing and/or related role.
- Proven track record of brainstorming, launching, and concepting fun and creative content ideas for brands and influencers with results.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Available outside of standard office hours, as social media is “always on”.
- Experience working on social media accounts in-house for a brand and/or with an agency, larger scale brands. Travel industry experience is a plus.
- Experience with social media scheduling and analytics platforms, like Dash Hudson, Hootsuite, etc. a plus.
- Event experience a plus.
- Ability to think critically, take initiative and work autonomously.
- Project management experience and skillset.
- Program knowledge: Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Outlook; Sharepoint a plus.
- Experience working with campaign assets and creative specs a plus.
