HearthSong, an already beloved toy brand, has an enormous growth opportunity. The company is looking for a creative and hands-on Social Media Community Manager to help propel the business into its next stage of success.

As the Social Media Community Manager at Hearthsong, you will be responsible for developing and executing our social media content strategy, working with the creative team to create engaging and compelling content that resonates with our audience and drives engagement, and reporting on key social media KPIs and metrics.

This role will also be charged with managing and growing our influencer program, which includes identifying and collaborating with social media influencers who align with our brand's values and mission and collaborating with them to capture UGC to repurpose onto Hearthsong owned channels.

This is a hands-on role that requires a deep understanding of social media platforms and trends, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills. You will work closely with our marketing and creative teams to ensure that our social media presence is cohesive, on-brand, and aligned with our overall business objectives.

Specific Responsibilities

The Social Media Community Manager will report to the Brand Marketing Director and work closely with the Digital Content Manager to develop content for various digital channels with a focus on social platforms. A key objective of this role will be to develop a close relationship with both the product and merchandising team to ensure that the Hearthsong product story and branding are captured authentically.

  • Manage and grow the company's influencer program, including identifying and recruiting social media influencers who align with the brand's values and mission.
  • Work with influencers to create engaging and authentic sponsored content that promotes Hearthsong's products and brand message.
  • Develop and execute a social media content strategy that aligns with the company's overall marketing objectives and resonates with the target audience.
  • Create and curate content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest.
  • Monitor social media channels and engage with customers and ambassadors via the Hearthsong brand accounts
  • Develop and maintain an editorial calendar that ensures a steady stream of fresh, relevant, and engaging content
  • Own organic paid spend to grow Hearthsong’s market share on social media
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent brand messaging and messaging alignment
  • Work collaboratively with the Digital Content Manager to evaluate the performance of content across all channels, using data-driven insights to optimize content strategy and tactics
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in digital content creation and marketing, and apply this knowledge to improve Hearthsong's digital content offerings.

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, journalism or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in digital content creation and management for a CPG company, preferably in the toy, game, or children's product industry
  • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills, with the ability to create engaging and informative content that resonates with target audiences
  • Experience managing influencer relationships and executing successful influencer marketing campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, and best practices, as well as a passion for staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends.
  • Experience with social media analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, Hootsuite, or Sprout Social.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically, and to translate business objectives into effective social media strategies and campaigns
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, track performance metrics, and make data-driven decisions to optimize content strategy
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Passion for children's toys and games, and a deep understanding of the target audience's needs and interests.
