General Summary

The purpose of this position is to act as the digital video and audio content creator for St. Matthew’s House communications and marketing team. The individual will be responsible for ensuring that all digital event content and marketing campaign material are captured and edited to the highest brand standards. The Digital Content Creator will be responsible for the direction, technical operation, and post-production editing for internally produced television news packages, long and short-form narrative video packages and audio recordings. Additionally, in-studio and/or on-location photography will be required. Regular maintenance of St. Matthew’s House digital video, photo, and audio equipment will be part of this role.

Essential Tasks

  • Creates engaging, impactful digital content pieces for distribution across all St. Matthew’s House media platforms
  • With assistance from Director of Media and Public Relations, produces packages for submission to local and regional television news stations
  • Acts as director, operator, and producer for video, and audio recording sessions.
  • Organizes entire project scope from pre-production through delivery.
  • Coordinates internal and external on-camera talent and schedules production.
  • Ability to multi-task several productions at once
  • Works with Content and Copy Manager to ensure brand messaging is consistent across platforms
  • Assists other members of marketing and development team in optimizing content for social media and web.

Requirements

Education: A four-year degree OR 3+ of comparable work experience or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training.

Experience: 2-4 years of work experience in digital content creation, specifically aimed toward external marketing and brand promotion.

Solid understanding of local television news delivery formats.

Well versed in social media and online trends.

Demonstrated video and film production expertise.

Advanced skills with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite of software’s; experience with Davinci Resolve a plus.

Solid and polished communication skills.

Exceptional communication and inter-personal skills.

A strong desire to work in a mission based organization.

Travel Demands: Flexibility in work hours; this position requires regular travel to all St. Matthew’s House public and private properties Valid FL driver’s license and current auto insurance is required. This role is required to maintain primary auto insurance minimum liability limits of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury, $100,000 property damage or $300,000 combined single limit. Must be an approved St. Matthew’s House driver.

Confidentiality: Works with confidential information.

Mental/Visual Demands: Flow of work requires normal mental and visual capabilities.

Physical Demand: Physically able to operate/move digital production equipment equal or greater to 25 pounds. Frequent physical movement while holding/operating equipment, with safety protocols being observed at all times.

Working Conditions: Position requires frequent movement within St. Matthew’s House facilities, including indoor and outdoor locations. Must be willing to occasionally work non-standard work schedule including nights, weekends, and other unusual hours due to business needs.
