The Director of CJ Influence role will shape CJ’s strategy in the Influencer Marketing space. The director will guide CJ’s approach to scaling CJ Influence, implementing strategy and growth plans, identifying and launching needed tools and solutions, and advocating for CJ Influence both internally and across the industry.

With a focus on expanding our reach and revenue growth, this role must be knowledgeable in all aspects of the Influencer Marketing industry. They will lead and manage the development of long-term strategy plans for CJ’s overall approach to influencers. They are responsible for overseeing and building the Influencer Campaign management team as well as supporting our approach to influencer community building. The Director will be responsible for the success of the Influencer Marketing Team regarding their collective clients, mutual goals, revenue retention and development.

What you will doing:

STRATEGY AND EXECUTION

  • Create a future vision and scale CJ Influence. Develop plans for integrating CJ’s existing campaign management teams, building new teams as needed. Coordinate across all necessary CJ departments to successfully take CJ Influence to market, coordinate necessary training and education both internally and with clients (both advertisers & influencers)
  • Ability to develop effective influencer strategies. Knowledge of necessary solutions and levers needed.
  • Expand relationships with CJ’s partners to further grow CJ capabilities and reach. Identify any new partners necessary for growth.
    • For example, CreatorIQ, Influencer Sub-Networks (FYI, LTK, MagicLinks, etc), Publicis Agencies including Fluency.
  • Elevate CJ’s positioning within the influencer space through thought leadership. Use industry events, conferences, podcasts and client events to advocate/educate on CJ’s capabilities through speaking engagements or one/one meetings.
  • Develop international expansion plans with CJ’s global execution teams.

TEAM MANAGEMENT

  • Lead, coach, educate and mentor Influencer Account Directors and Managers on best practices, team goals, publisher client needs and CJ innovations and how it will benefit their own portfolio of clients.
  • Create development plans both short and long term to ensure the team is building the necessary skills for their careers.

CLIENT MANAGEMENT

  • Coordinate with your team on the best approach to educate influencers on CJ's interface, tools, and data assets in accordance with general business and affiliate marketing best practices to better position clients for success.
  • Build a brand pipeline to pitch CJ Influence with CJ advertiser facing teams and Publicis agency contacts.
  • Advise brands and internal teams on how to best optimize and grow their influencer programs by utilizing data insights and industry trends.

OPERATIONS

  • Identify and create efficient workflows across the campaign delivery process to ensure that campaigns are produced profitably. This involves pipeline management, campaign delivery, reporting and financial/payment processes.
  • Ensure CJI is delivering on revenue targets within established margins of profitibility
  • Understand needs and advocate for solutions to advance the entire vertical. Collaborate with CJ’s Product, Data Science, Finance and Business Systems Teams to bring those solutions to completion whether through partnerships or internal product development.





Qualifications

What we look for:

  • 10+ years of experience in Influencer Marketing, preferably with an agency or platform
  • 3-6 years Digital Marketing experience (preferably Affiliate Marketing)
  • 5-8 years experience managing direct reports
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Excellent organizational and communications skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work across departments and divisions by building consensus and delivering upon stated objectives
  • Ability to effectively communicate both to executive leadership and to management teams
  • Ability to work across a matrix organizational structure
  • Experience mentoring and growing talent

Compensation Range: $121,000 - $171,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
