Summary

We are seeking an Associate Director to join EssenceMediacom’s Creative Futures' Influencer Activation team. This role will work directly with the Director of Influencer Activation and lead a small team of Managers and Associates. This role will lead in developing and activating a robust and always-on social influencer content marketing strategy. You will play a key role in developing influencer solutions across a range of client goals, including performance-based objectives.

In this role you will

  • Develop influencer marketing strategies and content recommendations for assigned accounts that are designed for each unique objective and client KPIs
  • Create influencer search criteria’s and research parameters based on client briefs while also identifying, negotiating and manage talent for client influencer campaigns with junior staff
  • Co-curate influencer rosters with direct report that meet target audience demographics using our influencer toolbox
  • Oversee client communication for assigned accounts regarding campaign execution, serving as project lead for influencer & content partnerships
  • Support Managers with influencer/agent communications for assigned campaigns, including negotiations, contracting and legal review
  • Foster long-lasting, positive, and authentic relationships with our influencer partners
  • Maintain all campaign trackers (project timeline and content trackers)
  • Lead client-reporting communications and develop regular reporting cadances
  • Collaborate with creative teams & support paid social amplification teams to optimize influencer campaigns
  • Supervise direct reports managing content creation process, including providing clear input on key deliverables such as influencer briefs, and a strong creative point of view on final deliverables, including rough cuts and final assets
  • Write and present client presentations, briefs, pitches, and POVs
  • Support Social Analysts during campaign reporting
  • Develop junior team member’s foundational understanding of influencer/ content marketing and client services

To be successful you possess

  • Excellent project management skills
  • Comfortable developing influencer strategies and presenting to client senior leadership
  • Effective and quick communication skills, specifically over email
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of the influencer marketing space
  • Experience reviewing contracts and negotiating compensation with agents/talent
  • Detail-oriented, specifically if product shipping is involved
  • Collaborative in nature and confident stepping up in meetings
  • Comfortable leading client conversations and proving best practice POVs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, business administration, and communications; OR equivalent professional work experience
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience handling influencer marketing projects
  • 4-6+ years of agency experience and/or influencer/social activation experience
  • Experience in launching influencer partnerships, the media partner landscape, and digital strategy

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $75,000 to $180,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
