We have an immediate opening for a Social Media manager based in our Fulton Market Chicago office. In this role you will partner with the Director of Global Communication, to execute dynamic and on-trend social media marketing strategies for Sloan and our subsidiaries. This is a hands-on position that will be responsible for the planning, ideation, development, and creation of engaging content across social media channels that align with our social media and brand guidelines. The position will evaluate, review, and report on the trends and continually develop effective campaigns.

Responsibilities Include

  • Create, in collaboration with the marketing communications team, all digital content for social media ranging from storyboards, video scripts, media posts, visuals, livestreaming events, and more.
  • Establish content calendars for social media channels (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and Pinterest), including conducting research and gathering insights for the creation of social campaigns
  • Shoot and edit video using native/in-app editing tools as well as video editing apps such as Adobe Premiere Rush, InShot, Splice, etc.
  • Review and report on the success of social media campaigns on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Create and report on paid social media campaigns including lead form, influencer, boosting, ABM, etc. to increase followers, engagement, and website traffic.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  • 2+ Years Hands on experience with native/in-app editing tools within each of the social media platforms.
  • 2+ Years Hands on experience creating engaging video content using Adobe Premiere Rush, InShot, Splice, etc.
  • 2+ Years Hands on experience with photography, videography, and other visual content creation.
  • 4+ Years Social media content creation and research experience.
  • Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and methods. This includes alternative ways to inform and entertain via written, oral, and visual media.
  • Stays current with social media management and strategies (e.g., new platforms, trending, hashtags, tools, and best practices.
  • Integrates information from a variety of sources; detects trends, associations, and cause-effect relationships.
