What are we looking for?

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and improving our data pipeline, ensuring data accuracy and quality across all available sources and driving impactful initiatives for the company, leveraging data. You will provide insights, recommendations and identify business leverage to the different stakeholders. This role reports to the Senior Director of Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the different stakeholders to identify insights and business levers;
  • Act as a data subject matter expert beside the different teams with regard to the interpretation of data and the use of our analytic platform (MixPanel);
  • Build, develop and maintain data pipelines, prediction models, dashboards and performance metrics that support key business decisions;
  • Evaluate business performance and identify important trends;
  • Monitor data reliability, quality and consistency across available data sources and collaborate to address issues;
  • Participate in data and ML initiatives in collaboration with the engineering and product teams;
  • Analyze and report on product experiments using hypothesis testing methods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in economics, mathematics, statistics, computer science or other field;
  • 8 years of experience with event driven dataset and B2C mobile app industry (strong asset);
  • A passion for data analysis and presentation of data insights;
  • Familiarity with probability, statistical modeling, and hypothesis testing;
  • Strong experience with data engineering tech stack (ETL/ELT, SQL, Python, R, DBT, REST API, AirByte, BigQuery, SnowFlake, etc.);
  • Strong proficiency with one or more data visualization (DataStudio, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) and product analytics platforms (MixPanel, Amplitude, etc.)
  • Ability to grasp the concepts of complex products and use cases to investigate, model, and present them (Powerpoint, Keynote, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical developers and non-technical marketing business partners;
  • Self-starting attitude, strong written and verbal communication skills and an attention to detail.
