Social Media Manager
Adecco Creative and Marketing has partnered with a global food producer to hire a social media manager.
This is a 9 month, parental leave coverage contract (no foreseen conversion or extension). The pay is $45-$54/hr. You will work from home Mondays and Fridays and be in the office Tuesday-Thursday.
Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Media professional to join the team on a contract basis to cover parental leave. As the Social Media lead, you will be responsible for implementing social media strategies for new product launches and sustaining campaigns across paid and organic platforms. You will be responsible for leading the social team of our community manager specialist and social media specialist contractor through oversight of our community management/rewards program, general content programming and editorial planning. You would also manage paid social media campaign trafficking, monitor metrics and in-flight asset rotation, and provide regular reporting on KPIs and content performance. Additionally, review and adapt editorial content in real-time based on the social landscape & trends, monitor metrics from owned social platforms & tools, provide weekend community management and out of office coverage on a rotating basis, manage content boosting and budgets, conduct content project briefings, and collaborate with internal and external teams.
Responsibilities:
• Execute social media strategies for new product launches and sustainment campaigns across paid and organic social media platforms.
• Oversee and optimize our community management program, ensuring a high level of engagement and amplified community loyalty are achieved.
• Assist with Planning and curating general content programming, ensuring consistency and alignment with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
• Manage the trafficking of paid social media campaigns, including performance monitoring and strategic rotation.
• Monitor metrics and performance indicators from platforms such as RIQ, Netbase, and Hootsuite, and make data-driven decisions to optimize social media activities.
• Provide bi-weekly and quarterly reports on KPIs and content performance, presenting insights, highlighting achievements, and providing recommendations for improvement where appropriate.
• Manage and lead a team of two direct reports, providing guidance, feedback, and support in their day-to-day activities.
• Review and adapt editorial content in real-time, responding to the dynamic social landscape and engaging with relevant conversations and trends.
• Pull and monitor metrics from key platforms, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and growth.
• Provide community management coverage during weekends and out-of-office hours as needed.
• Manage content boosting and budget allocation to maximize reach, engagement & growth.
• Conduct content project briefings, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
• Foster effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including influencer, creative, and communications departments, to support integrated campaigns and initiatives.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, with a track record of successful social media campaigns and community management.
• In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, including their functionalities, algorithms, and best practices.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to extract insights from data and make data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in using social media management and analytics tools such as RIQ, Netbase, and Hootsuite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage engaging and impactful content production.
• Experience in managing and leading a team, with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to think on your feet, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet/drive deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and the evolving social media landscape.
