THE ROLE
Medium Rare is seeking a qualified Marketing Director for its live events and festivals. The Marketing Director will report to the Vice President of Marketing, to support all functions of marketing but not limited to: integrated marketing, social media, project management, websites, advertising, public relations, campaign reporting, content, and analytics. Vital to this role is a strong knowledge of the live event promotional processes via project management, digital media strategy & execution, oversight of content teams, social media coordination, and liaising with sponsorship teams. The ideal candidate excels at the aforementioned skills with the ability to independently lead festival marketing campaigns from ideation to execution. This position is fully remote (LA, NY, or Miami based preferred) but will require travel for work-related events.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead event / festival marketing working with all internal and external teams to develop and sustain the highest level of brand and event marketing across all platforms
- Create and execute: marketing plans, marketing campaign budgets, innovative content, social media campaigns, etc.
- Collaborate with design, website development, production, and social teams/vendors to set forth and accomplish daily tasks & projects
- Help build + setup ticketing pages, and come up with creative marketing concepts to help sell tickets to various live events.
- Responsible for the planning leading up to the event announcements, on sales, on-going event campaigns, on-site marketing efforts, post-event content, and campaign recaps
- Execution of various marketing functions across all media types, including but not limited to the following: traditional advertising, social media, media partnerships, social media, email marketing, and influencer marketing
- Oversee creative requests through project management to ensure assets are completed on time
- Support Medium Rare artist marketing initiatives around key moments such as tour announcements, song/album releases, show on-sales, music videos, and more
- Lead content efforts on-site at events photo/video, social content, and live stream management
- Gameplan and help lead paid marketing efforts across all social media platforms
- Plan and execute across internal and external media and public relations agencies
- Support the Head of Sponsorship + VP of Marketing across all sponsorship marketing needs
QUALIFICATION & ABILITIES
- 5+ years experience working in marketing in the entertainment/sports industry
- Strong knowledge and experience in live event marketing
- Entrepreneurial, I get sh*t done attitude with ability to multitask across multiple partners and prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams while prioritizing assignments and meeting deadlines
- Strong knowledge of Marketing processes and strategies for all social platforms surrounding live events
- Excellent oral and written communication, organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to get all tasks and assignments done in a timely manner while managing your own work-load and day-to-day schedule
- Maintain, control and communicate deadlines, roadblocks, and escalations as needed
- Prioritize, organize, motivate, problem solve, delegate, follow up, and communicate
- Must be able to work remotely in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge and experience with Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Suite, and Keynote is a plus
- Must be willing to travel to work events and work evenings when needed to meet select deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
