Summary:
Lamark Media has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and talented Organic Content Specialist, with a focus on organic social media & influencer marketing, who wants to join a fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic environment. We offer an approach that allows clients to create the organic social program that fits their objectives, not just a templated plan. Because of that, the Social Media Specialist should have a broad range of experience with the nuances of social.
What you’ll do:
- Plan and execute social media strategies that are in line with clients’ campaign objectives around raising social media presence, increasing engagement, accelerating organic follower growth and driving word of mouth.
- Curate editorial calendars for social media channels, including managing and writing captions and driving the development of social creative assets both independently and in partnership with creative. Collaborate with client on content approvals.
- Set clear channel and social campaign goals and KPIs and consistently track and report against them, using industry and historical benchmarks to measure success, share insights and develop action plans.
- Provide thought leadership and forward-looking strategies on social media opportunities by staying current with competitive activity, best practices, industry innovations, tools and platforms to apply to our social and brand strategy.
- Be energized by real-time storytelling, creatively capitalizing on moments in culture to drive relevancy and attention for clients.
- Daily monitoring and community management of customer comments and questions in close partnership with clients.
- Help build, develop, and manage influencer programs and partnerships to grow brand awareness and social presence.
- Actively identify and cultivate new communities of influencers as well as new channel expansion opportunities.
- Develop influencer and user-generated content (UGC) campaigns, content ideas, and activation tactics in collaboration with content strategist and channel leads to support quarterly content plan.
- Analyze and distribute weekly, monthly, or quarterly reports on performance and analyze in relation to competitors (report timing dependent on client program).
- Master client brand voice to build and maintain relationships on social media and with content creators.
- Keep current on social media and influencer trends to quickly identify ways to help clients participate in social trends and conversations.
- Provide creative ideas and plans to activate brands across digital channels such as social, organic search, video/YouTube, etc.
- Create content and/or work with writers/designers on content such as landing pages, posts, e-books, white papers, videos, testimonials, etc.
- Undertake projects such as content auditing, pitch deck support, audience research, and other content creation, as needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Possesses knowledge and experience in the tenets of digital marketing
- Passionate about Organic Social Strategies
- Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in social media (provide links to profiles as examples)
- Proficient in content marketing theory, strategy, and application
- Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Tik Tok, Pinterest etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios
- Maintains excellent writing and language skills
- Enjoys a working knowledge of the copywriting and other content creation
- Displays ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and video format
- Practices superior time management
- Is a team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary (i.e., content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management)
- Demonstrates winning Social Customer Service techniques such as empathy, patience, advocacy and conflict resolution
- Possesses great ability to identify potential negative or crisis situations and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues
- Must have the ability to adapt to brand voices
- Passionate about keeping up with trends
- Must be able to work independently and within a team environment
Education & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in social media management, insights, or engagement for a consumer brand
- Passionate about understanding consumer needs, and staying ahead of the curve on new strategies, trends and social channels for reaching our audience
- Dedication to driving community conversation and keen interest in community insights and key growth indicators
- Proficiency with the tools and functions of all social channels – priorities are Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok and LinkedIn
- Proven and clearly defined successes in identifying winning engagement and amplification strategies on social media
- Proficient in Google Sheets / Excel
- Excellent communication skills: verbal, visual, and written
- Experience with analytics for social media and Google Analytics
- Highly organized with ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent project management skills and ability to self-manage time and work schedule
- Past Agency Experience preferred
We prefer but don’t require:
- Experience working with social media management platforms, like Spout Social and Planable
- Experience working with design tools like Canva, Photoshop, Capcut, and more
