Marketing Manager Brand
Job Information
As a Marketing Manager of Brand, you have the responsibility to expand and evolve Doosan Bobcat’s brand presence and build a positive perception of the brand in North America. This position will lead efforts to extend the Doosan Bobcat value proposition to current audiences, as well as work to identify new and diverse audiences. This role directs the strategic vision and execution of experiential marketing & events to create high-touch experiences; ensuring consistent and efficient delivery of exceptional brand experiences at every touchpoint, in all phases of the strategy.
Role & Responsibility
Experiential Marketing and Events
- Strategic development and direction of experiential marketing initiatives, protecting and managing the brand identity through the expression at every touchpoint
- Driving forward the strategic vision and execution of our marquee marketing and dealer events as well as our NA tradeshow program
- Serve as the strategic event lead; facilitate strategy and experience discussions with key executive stakeholders
- Set and oversee roles and responsibilities for event production, promotion, and communication between cross-departmental teams
- Manage the influencer program to include strategy, relationship management, ambassador selection, contract negotiation and the ultimate expression of the partnership
- Conduct proactive and ongoing research to identify successful experiential marketing opportunities to align to our expanding consumer and target audiences and business goals
- Analyze event and trade show expenses to ensure sound vendor expenditures and adherence to budget
- Establish comprehensive event budget and real-time reporting of actuals in-line with forecasted spend
Brand Expansion Initiatives
- Advance Doosan Bobcat’s image through direct-to-customer brand extension initiative via Influential partnerships, sponsorships, and activities, to generate awareness through new channels
- Manage and execute the promotional products merchandise program, develop reporting structure, and grow program through internal and dealer promotional strategies
- Manage the brand licensing program, develop reporting structure, and drive toward established business goals
- Develop and maintain licensing partners and distribution channels, executing product approval processes, to include global collaboration for regional partners
- Work with the legal department to ensure proper registration and protection of the company's IP, ensuring compliance to brand standards and design
Brand Protection and Development
- Ensure development of brand-focused materials that successfully communicate the Doosan Bobcat brand pillars, attributes, and promise
- Manage and evolve the brand style standards and brand guides; manage agency reviews to ensure consistency and relevancy in the marketplace
- Ensure the ongoing maintenance and development of our trademark and copyright statements
- In partnership with the Doosan Bobcat Legal team, ensure proactive monitoring and management of trademark infringement & trademark protection strategies
- Set measurable, attainable-yet-audacious monthly/quarterly/annual goals for brand team, with properly assigned KPIs to deliver against goals; reporting on a regular basis
- Develop business cases for event funding and budget allocation
Job Requirement
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher, Experience: 7-10 years
- Experience working on events with 500+ attendees
- Experience in working cross-functionally and cross-departmentally at all levels of individuals in the business as well as external partners to guide brand strategies and manage full execution
- Ability to be interviewed and appear confidently on video by state, local and national media, and appropriately represent Doosan Bobcat to the public and key stakeholders
- Confident, creative, and dynamic leader with excellent verbal communication skills, as well as strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills with a roll up your sleeves and can-do attitude
- Experience building and managing high-performing teams to deliver outstanding results, meeting timelines, holding accountability and performance management responsibilities
- Demonstrated exceptional decision-making capabilities and capable of self-direction
- Understand business structure, identify key partners and engage in key corporate communication, crisis management and public affairs issues
- Proven analytical skills and a demonstrated history of budget management and business expense forecasting
- Proven ability to develop event marketing strategies and communicate recommendations to executives, with above average presentation skills
- Demonstrated strong project management experience, including ability to independently prioritize and track complex, competing schedules, proactively anticipate and complete tasks and complex programs
- Proven ability to independently resolve problems in an effective, diplomatic manner
- Experience building brand awareness using a variety of techniques to bring brands from unknown to a well-known brand in the industry
