Hou... Works fights for funding and legislation to ensure that all people living with HIV/AIDS have access to quality housing, healthcare, HIV prevention, and treatment, among other lifesaving services.

We have three comprehensive healthcare plans to choose from based on your priorities and budget. Housing Works covers most of the plan; you pay a portion, based on your salary. This position is included in a bargaining unit of Housing Works’ New York City employees represented by a labor union known as the Retail Wholesale and Department Store Union (“RWDSU”). Accordingly, the RWDSU has the exclusive right to bargain over the terms and conditions of employment related to this position and this position may become covered by the terms of a collective bargaining agreement (a “CBA”) between Housing Works and the RWDSU

Compensation Range: $22/hr - $24/hr commensurate with experience

Overview: The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the creation and execution of Housing Works’ agency-wide organic social media content in support of Housing Works businesses, services, fundraising, and advocacy in addition to supporting all marketing activities across the agency, including but not limited to events and partnerships. The Marketing Coordinator must be fluent in creating content for all major social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, twitter, Tiktok) including photo and video editing. The primary role of this job is building out a social media calendar and corresponding content creation. They must be a strong copywriter and knowledgeable and/or passionate about health equity, thrift shopping, sustainability, and social justice. This position requires a highly motivated and organized individual with strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple campaigns at once.

Responsibilities

• Manage the social media calendar for the agency which includes content related to healthcare, housing, advocacy, thrift shops, and special events using Hootsuite and other content management platforms as need be.
• Work with the Producer and Creative Director in identifying agency priorities and building the social media components of our marketing campaigns.
• Create engaging content for all social media channels to drive brand awareness and engagement for Housing Works Community Healthcare, Housing Works Thrift Shops & eShop, Housing Works Advocacy, and Housing Works fundraising events and campaigns.
• Work with Marketing team to brainstorm and develop social media campaigns from inception to delivery.
• Photograph Shops and Events for Instagram posts and stories.
• Coordinate and execute social deliverables as related to sponsorships.
• Work with Producer on editorial content for Housing Works eShop and Healthcare sites (the blog and additional content blocks)
• Work with Digital Marketing Strategist to coordinate efforts and report out performance
• Manage and maintain Housing Works’ influencer program to drive sales and donations
• Be knowledgeable about social media trends and position Housing Works to actively participate in the conversation as applicable with current events, memes, hashtags etc.
• Adhere to Housing Works brand guidelines regarding content for social platforms.
• Support with content for Housing Works Cannabis Co
• Assist with day-to-day administrative needs including invoicing and production assistance.
• Participate in at least one direct action per quarter aimed at ending the dual crises of homelessness and HIV/AIDS.
• Know the Housing Works’ Mission Statement and goals and be able to inform and discuss with others.
