Are you an energetic data enthusiast who wants to become the driving force for a thriving global open source community with Apache Hudi? Do you want to become a community leader and have broad impact on the Data+AI industry as a whole? As a Developer Advocate for Onehouse, your role is mission critical to our open source community driven focus. You will help innovative organizations modernize their data estates with leading edge data technologies like Apache Hudi and Onehouse. You will be the customer voice to influence the strategy and direction of one of the most exciting data products of 2022.

Responsibilities

• Build creative and engaging programs that grow our community and empower contributors to build more on open source.
• Solve technical challenges hands on with customers and developers using modern data tools like Spark, Flink, Presto/Trino, Airflow, DBT, and more.
• Through conferences, webinars, blogs, trainings, demos, establish yourself as a thought leader on a variety of data engineering topics.
• Build technical solution templates and data architecture patterns for customers and help them accelerate their data journey with Onehouse and Apache Hudi.
• Partner with PM and Eng to help set the roadmap and vision for the Onehouse product.
  
  

Must Haves

• 3+ years of experience working directly with customers on technical engagements. (DevRel/Advocate, SA, Technical Sales, PM, PMM, Support experience are all relevant)
• Experience with a programming language — static, functional, or dynamic
• Working knowledge of a few modern data tools and frameworks like Apache Spark, Kafka, Flink, Presto/Trino, Hive, DBT, Airflow, Parquet, Avro, ORC.
• Familiarity with some cloud data services like EMR, Redshift, Kinesis, Glue, Dataproc, BigQuery, Databricks, HDInsight, Synapse.
• Experience building, operating, or troubleshooting data engineering pipelines.
• Comfortable with working independently to own and drive large programs and initiatives.
• Excellent speaking skills with the ability to engage audiences large and small.
• Excellent written communication that you can modulate between technical engineers and C-Level executives.

• Experience with a Lakehouse technology including Apache Hudi or Delta Lake.
• Experience leading and organizing large community activities.
