THE ROLE:

MMC is seeking a Vice President, Paid Digital/Content Strategy hybrid to join our team and work across our portfolio of healthcare and consumer brands. We are seeking a “go-to” subject matter expert who can counsel agency and client partners while establishing a forward-looking approach that yields business impact. This is a great opportunity for anyone with hands-on experience in the development of digital advertising and content strategies. Our ideal candidate is audience-obsessed, has set up, optimized, and evaluated the performance of paid campaigns across multiple platforms, “speaks” SEO, and has experience developing and championing digital content strategies.

You will work alongside a team of experts who create, write, and manage communications materials that strengthen the online footprint of a brand and ensure they are reaching targeted audiences effectively and efficiently. This important role offers the opportunity to help build the digital advertising practice, while also supporting overall integrated digital storytelling.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Operate as the primary counselor to clients and integrated agency partners for work related to digital advertising/paid media; proactively advocate for breakthrough digital work leveraging expertise, key learnings, best practices, and platform developments to ensure optimal audience engagement and results
  • Develop and present impactful paid plans and audience-first, digital storytelling strategies across channels/platforms to build reach, community, and brand affinity
  • Be hands-on in setting up and optimizing paid campaigns on various platforms, including Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Google among others
  • Drive organic traffic and improve website rankings with a strong understanding of SEO principles and strategies
  • Leverage sponsored content to boost influencer programs and social content, and build search strategies that maximize brand reach
  • Partner with integrated team to help understand, optimize and evaluate performance of paid campaigns
  • Leverage data to guide recommendations about high performing content themes, targeting, and budget allocations across multiple platforms
  • Continually evolve knowledge of your specialty, client business and competitors, media landscape, and evolving trends in consumer behavior; mentor integrated team members on execution, best practices, emerging platforms, and platform updates

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • 7+ years of hands-on paid media, search, and social experience and the proven ability to contribute to, build and present digital content strategies that meet brand objectives.
  • Healthcare communications or previous background in another industry where regulatory compliance is required
  • Experience navigating within native platforms such as Google, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitter, and others from a paid perspective, as well as working with search and programmatic vendors/platforms
  • Solid grasp of SEM techniques and platforms to develop and execute effective paid advertising campaigns that maximize visibility, conversions, and ROI
  • Keen business acumen married with a deep knowledge of social/digital media trends including knowledge of nuanced online audiences/communities and how to target them effectively
  • Knowledge of key trends in online and offline engagement campaigns, and ability to provide expert guidance internally on paid and organic communications approaches
  • Experience in refining campaigns in real-time to optimize against established goals
  • Expert knowledge regarding existing and emerging advertising platforms and tech stacks
  • A clear understanding of measurement and reporting, experience with tools and analytics
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with other agency teams to meet common goals
  • A passion for audience building, real-time storytelling, and data
  • A demonstrated and proven ability to effectively communicate with clients, internal leadership integrated teams and lead with a sense of confidence and gravitas
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Stellar time-management skills
  • Experience in managing junior staffers a plus

The anticipated salary range for this position is ($120,000- $160,000). Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
