Job Description
Your Role:
We are seeking a polished, creative, and experienced marketing professional ready to step into a visible marketing role as Senior Manager, US Intermediary Marketing, at Invesco. Based in New York City or Atlanta, this role is critical to supporting the Wealth Management Intermediaries (WMI) business. The ideal candidate has a background in asset or wealth management with a strong understanding of the unique and evolving needs of advisors and firms across retail financial professional and platform segments including broker-dealer (wirehouse and independent), RIA, and private clients and banks.
This is an opportunity for a well-rounded and highly collaborative marketing professional, able to help drive marketing strategy and own execution. You understand the clients and their needs, are passionate about trends, innovation and new thinking affecting investment professionals, and enjoy measuring and refining executions to positively influence client behavior. You will collaborate with colleagues to ensure a differentiated and impactful program is put in place with the goals of growing the business and improving the client experience.
You will be responsible for:
- Contributing to the development of annual marketing plans and associated budget
- Planning and implementing marketing campaigns working with business partners and subject matter experts and using the full marketing mix including email, digital, events, paid and earned media and sales enablement to support prioritized client needs and business priorities
- Working with intermediary sales and strategic relationship colleagues to understand key audience segments and appropriate positioning for them and align on a firm and channel-specific touchpoint and content strategy
- Developing concise and creative briefs and program plans promoting Invesco where you are accountable for execution of tactics across all marketing tactics working with key marketing team members across Investment and Content Marketing, Digital, Email automation, Design, Social, Events, Advertising, and Media Relations
- Designing and supporting a communication program supportive of certain specific channels
- Using data in your daily marketing process to review and optimize campaigns and marketing tactics, measure and socialize success metrics, and recommend optimizations to improve campaign and strategy goals
- Cultivating internal and partner relationships where you drive discussions for continual improvement of marketing programs
- Raising ideas for improving programs/processes and trying new approaches
- Maintaining a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and client type nuances
- Maintaining and communicating the status-including issues, deliverables and progress-around a variety of project plans in support of client and channel initiatives
The experience you bring:
- A minimum of 7-10 years of relevant experience preferred; bachelor's degree required
- Experience working directly with or a part of a sales team in the industry is strongly desired, and experience managing people is a plus
- Ability to work at a strategic and a tactical level; this is a hands-on role
- You are a self-starter and effective problem solver who seeks excellence and continuous improvement in your work
- You are an excellent relationship builder, teammate and influencer with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and leaders.
- You have a strong knowledge of our clients and the industry, with a solid understanding of the investment and regulatory space
- You can manage and run initiatives with multiple moving parts and deliverables, manage stakeholder expectations and keep things on track, and prioritize across initiatives with a demonstrated track record of meeting rapid-pace, demanding client needs
- Knowledge of Office and Adobe suites, Salesforce, and proficient in the use of workflow tool preferred
- CFA and/or CIMA helpful but not required
The total compensation offered for this position, which includes salary and incentive pay, will vary based on skills, experience and location. The salary range for this position in New York City is $150k to $175k annually.
