Sr. Manager, Marketing Strategy & Partnerships
As a Senior Manager, Marketing Strategy, you will be part of a team bringing the magic of Disney into homes around the world every day. Disney Consumer Products, Games and Publishing's (CPGP) marketing strategy team is responsible for developing compelling marketing programs for commercial priorities, and working with internal and external partners to optimise campaigns. As a storyteller, you will craft and implement strategies that connect with consumers in groundbreaking new ways.
You will have knowledge of the marketing drivers, a curiosity for data and improvement, and a desire to connect insights and your voice to champion change.
You will work with beloved franchises such as Mickey & Friends, Disney Princess, Disney's Frozen, and Pixar. A day with CPGP may begin with driving long-term global marketing planning, leading a global marketing Task Force on a campaign touching multiple lines of business, working with business leads to help craft a multi-year marketing plan, or providing strategic feedback to creative teams. Your experience with social (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok), digital (Ad-based, web, E-commerce), experiential, influencer, retail, and content-based marketing will help promote impactful and efficient marketing programs.
This position will report to the Director, Marketing Strategy.
Responsibilities/You Will:
Marketing Strategy
- Work with the Director, Marketing Strategy to drive the marketing strategy development process, ensuring strong strategic inputs to partners. Drive follow-up processes and build timelines to keep overall marketing activations on schedule
- Lead a team of cross-functional partners as it relates to assigned projects. Host regular meetings, share audience insights, and develop go-to-market strategies
- Work with creative and campaign teams to develop marketing communications programs and brand initiatives that deliver against business objectives and strategies
- Track trends, research, and consumer insights to guide the development of campaign roadmaps, briefs, and integrated communication plans
- Develop forecasts in collaboration with leadership, supervise ongoing program expenditures, make forecast recommendations on a monthly basis, and communicate significant shifts to management
- Track the implementation of programs and conduct post-mortem analyses to drive continual improvement
- Work closely with Marketing Strategy leadership to improve message reach and maintain continuity across audiences. Develop an understanding of the CPGP business and core consumers to build marketing strategies and franchise positioning to drive overall business goals
- Support the Director, Marketing Strategy on the AOP and 5YP processes and share updates with the regional teams to drive smooth integration
Partnerships
- Build relationships with priority Disney Pixar global licensees to elevate joint marketing approach for CPGP business
- Drive strategic alignment around key programs with key licensees to define shared partnership moments throughout the calendar year
- Establish an approach to align and optimise CPGP commercial partner promotional spend to CPGP signature and seasonal marketing campaigns
- Identify high potential marketing opportunities tied to new categories / occasions to bring value to CP and key partners
- Partner with Marketing Creative team to craft compelling pitches
- Manage joint partner activations at global level and share plans with key stakeholders
- Drive communication with regions to ensure global plans are shared in a timely manner to optimize regional roll out
- Unlock support around priority campaigns for key seasonal and franchise beats with key partners by crafting compelling pitches
- Define, pitch and manage more traditional strategic non-licensee partnership opportunities to reach audiences at scale, unlock incremental investment and/or drive credibility within a particular category or audience
- Build relationships with Disney synergy, digital and ad sales teams and find new approaches that drive reach and engagement around CPGPs key campaign
Basic Qualifications/You Will Have:
- 10+ years of related Marketing or Sales strategy experience
- Outstanding verbal and written communication and project leadership skills
- Proven ability to collaborate with and achieve actionable results through others, build strong and sustainable relationships, and interact at all levels of the organization
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Flexibility and proficiency in ambiguity and leading teams through changes in strategic direction and/or priorities
- An optimistic professional who leads by example
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with national-level campaigns and marketing target audience expertise
- Knowledge of product development and new product launches
- Previous work experience in Marketing Strategy, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Advertising Agency, or Brand Management
Required Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or equivalent work experience
Preferred Education:
- Master's in Business Administration

The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
