Drive overall brand content and messaging through coordinated campaigns that align messages across multiple audiences in contract and retail channels. Provide strategic leadership for both the Herman Miller and Knoll Brand Marketing team to increase brand awareness, engagement and preference resulting in growth of the both brands globally.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSAlign Herman Miller and Knoll brand messages and programs to target audiences and business objective across channel, geographies, and audiences.Collaborates closely with Product Marketing Management team on launches and programs related to the release of new product.Drive global brand strategy for both brands. While a comprehensive strategy starts with the brand, this leadership role works in close partnership with MillerKnoll contract marketing, MillerKnoll Corporate marketing, Retail Marketing, HM Gaming, and MillerKnoll digital marketing leaders to enable and integrate our strategies, bringing brands to life with consistency across channels and groups.Collaborate with Corporate Communications team to establish social plan by channel and region, as well as media partnerships to promote products, ideas, and events for both brandsWorks in close collaboration with brand creative team and brand creative directors to build campaigns, ideas, partnerships, and content that further establish design leadershipBe an ambassador for both brands in the design community, to the media, and to internal stakeholders such as our sales force, retailers, and dealer partners.Lead a small team of generalists with knowledge in digital, marketing, media, product, and content to establish a seasonal promotional calendar for both brandsDrive preference for (and build equity in) Herman Miller and Knoll brands globally.Drive priority Herman Miller and Knoll brand messages via integrated campaigns, which are delivered in partnership with to channel marketing teams and global marketing services.Drive or extend social, collaborations, partnerships, and influencer strategy for both brands.Enhance brand heritage of both brands through storytelling via archives, events, and exhibitionEstablish, evangelize, and extend (in partnership with creative director) the visual/verbal center of the brand to include evolving chapters of brand guidelines that help our extended team execute flawlessly wherever the brand shows upEnsure HM and Knoll Brand Marketing activities are conducted within fiscally-accountable parameters that deliver on our financial commitments to our stakeholders. including financial management of cohesive brand budgets that owned by you but influenced by others.Integrate product messaging and campaigns across contract, retail, and specialist channels inclusive of launches, extensions, and promotions. This includes gaming, healthcare, and other key segments.Lead and be accountable for the vision, strategy, and results of brand positioning and campaigns, harmonizing a clear brand message across all channels, online and offline.Maintain brand standards and ensure compliance across all marketing and communications channels.Participates in Herman Miller/Knoll leadership team meetings, MK Global Marketing leadership team meetings, and Product leadership team meetings.Partner with executive leadership to ensure Herman Miller and Knoll Brand Marketing strategies and brand standards are in alignment with corporate goals. This position is a member of the Global Marketing Leadership Team, and participates in other Leadership Team activities as needed.Research and maintain knowledge of emerging design and culture, and industry trends, including understand relevant media, brands, influencers, museum exhibitions, and disruptors in the field of design and design thinking.Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education/ExperienceBS/BA Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.At least ten years of progressive marketing experience required with senior leadership experience preferred.Extensive experience in brand management and developing business driving marketing plans and brand building programs.Experience across all types of communication channels.Experience in leveraging data analytics and customer insights to inform marketing decisions and optimize campaign performance.Skills and AbilitiesBalanced skills across creative, design, and marketing, including experience working in close partnership with creative directors and partners.Proven experience in brand management, marketing and advertising communications in a direct leadership role.Strong ability to recognize great creative, relevant content, and overarching narrative needed to make a campaign both powerful and effectiveDeep understanding of brand development and multichannel marketing.Balance of agency management experience with deep exposure to performance marketing, on-line marketing and emerging marketing channels, along with corporate experience proving ability to navigate matrixed organizationsStrategic Brand Marketing experience, with significant work history building brand awareness, aligning desired perceptions, and increasing brand engagement, through a range of strategies and tactics.Proven ability to partner with creative team from beginning to end, aligning creative work via clear briefs and reviews. Ability to use broad business acumen and holistic perspective to see opportunities, risks and trade-offs. Must possess global business experience, be profit conscious, and proficient with significant P&L measures.Highly adept at leading through influence, and proven ability to deliver results via collaborative teams.Strong relationship and consensus-building skills necessary to manage projects in a complex matrixed environment. Demonstrated ability to lead, influence and work with all levels in the organization.Proven history of successfully driving key strategic initiatives within an organization beyond the immediate span of control. Relevant salary considerations will include candidate qualifications and experience, other business/organizational needs and market factors . You may also be eligible to receive a geographic premium, annual discretionary incentive and equity awards which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
