Overview

The Social Media Coordinator will work cross-functionally among the marketing team and broader matrix organization to support the development and execution of omni-storytelling for the Champs Sports brand. This position will work closely with the Social Media Manager and across brand team, creative, product, and marketing channel teams to drive cohesive, consumer-obsessed storytelling across social media platforms.

We are looking for a social media enthusiast who wants to grow within a corporate environment. The ideal candidate is well-versed in managing corporate social media platforms. He/she also exudes exceptional communication and project management skills, and has a passion for sport and the athletically-inspired retail space.

This position is hybrid, with 2-3 days per week in the St Petersburg, Florida office.

Champs Sports conducts business across North America, with locations across the US, Canada and Puerto Rico. Champs Sports is a division of Foot Locker, Inc.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of comprehensive brand strategies for Champs Sports, ensuring alignment with the company's overall vision and objectives.
  • Lead vendor relationships and execute social partnership opportunities such as influencer programs, organic posting and paid placements.
  • Support the development and execution of comprehensive brand strategies for Champs Sports, ensuring alignment with the company's overall vision and objectives.
  • Partner with the Social Media Manager on social platform responsibilities and manage developing handles such as Champs Sports Canada and Champs Sports Run Club.
  • Grow influencer network by cultivating relationships and securing influencers for brand programs, content franchises and events.
  • Work with Social Media Manager in the creation and publishing of social content on all platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, and other emerging platforms.
  • Support live content opportunities such as at brand events or in-store content capture.
  • Ensure all social content is compliant with Champs Sports brand standards.
  • Analyze and create weekly social media analytics reports for Champs Sports.
  • Monitor and engage in real-time social conversation across platforms.
  • General coordinator responsibilities such as product ordering and presentation support.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university
  • 1-3 years experience in marketing/advertising at a corporation or agency
  • Strong project management skills to plan, prioritize, and execute various projects within tight deadlines.
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong understanding of consumer behavior, social media trends, and the competitive landscape to develop effective marketing campaigns.
  • Possess a strong analytical mindset and be proficient in analyzing data to identify insights, measure campaign effectiveness, and make informed recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Powerpoint and Excel required.
  • Working knowledge of software platforms like Sprinklr and JIRA is preferred but can be taught on the job.

Benefits

The annual base salary range is $40k - $50k / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
