Marketing Coordinator, Branded Events - ReedPop

ReedPop produces some of the biggest pop culture events in the world and this job plays an important role in bringing those experiences to life.

As our Brand Marketing Coordinator, you will work directly with the Marketing and Events teams, as well as our key contacts, to drive brand awareness, attendee acquisition and attendee retention for our portfolio of branded events, including Star Wars Celebration, MagicCon, and more.

Our ideal candidate is a results-driven marketer, a creative thinker, and a solution-seeker -- someone who can deliver results across marketing projects from ticket on-sale campaigns to the onsite fan experience and beyond. We’re looking for someone with strong consumer-facing copywriting skills and incredible attention to detail.

You’ll have the opportunity to craft marketing plans that cover digital, traditional, influencer, guerrilla, and word-of-mouth marketing for highly engaged audiences. We are looking for someone excited about the events we produce and creating once-in-a-lifetime experiences for our fans.

Responsibilities Include

  • Work with the Senior Marketing Coordinator and Marketing Director to implement the marketing, branding, and PR strategy for our branded events.
  • Collaborate with branded partners, such as Lucasfilm and Wizards of the Coast, on key event announcements.
  • Work with key partners and the event teams to create and manage a comprehensive social media plan focused on selling tickets, fan education, merchandise sales, and fan engagement.
  • Write, design, deploy, and track weekly e-mail newsletters.
  • Regularly update copy, images, and announcements on the event websites and maintain, update, and monitor social media accounts.
  • Develop marketing partnerships in the local markets and surrounding markets to drive awareness and ticket sales.
  • Work with the Senior Marketing Coordinator to maintain mobile app development and digital marketing asset creation, delivery, and strategy.
  • Learn about different brands and create inspired content based on brand entity.
  • Maintain an eye for detail and quality on projects big and small, while communicating with the team to meet established time frames.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, and identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.

Required Skills And Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in marketing consumer products, event marketing, or related experience is required.
  • Excellent copywriting and communication skills, with the propensity to communicate clearly and effectively across a variety of channels.
  • Professional level knowledge of relevant social media platforms (including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok) and email marketing.
  • Experience and knowledge in paid marketing (social media, email, display, and search advertising), brand positioning, and/or marketing analytics.
  • Experience and knowledge in email marketing tools (Eloqua, MailChimp Constant Contact, Hubspot, etc.)
  • Ability to travel 6-8 times per year domestically and internationally as needed to work onsite at our events. If you aren’t willing or don’t enjoy traveling, this is not the job for you.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive with a strong sense of ownership and a true passion for the brands we work with, fan communities, and pop culture.
  • Resourceful and willing to find creative solutions that will help you achieve your goals.
  • Able to adjust and thrive within a fast-paced work environment with unpredictable deadlines and schedules.
  • Must be highly collaborative with a “We” not “Me” mentality. Be flexible in your viewpoints, always looking for the greatest ideas, and ready to be an advocate for ideas other than your own.
  • Secure enough in yourself to be able to ask for help, say “I don’t know” and always learn from your mistakes.

Desirable Skills And Experience

  • College degree or equivalent experience in Marketing or a related field .
  • 2+ years of experience in the marketing and/or communications field.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop). Canva knowledge is a plus!
  • Ability to work flexibly on different events and projects. ReedPop can be very collaborative, so you may be asked for work on additional Reedpop events or projects if bandwidth allows.
