  • 2 years of experience within User Experience, an applied research setting, or product research and development.
  • Experience in an applied product research setting, including integrating user research into product designs and strategy.
  • Experience in data visualization.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in multivariate statistics and design of experiments.
  • Experience working with stakeholders with competing needs.
  • Experience in product/service design.
  • Knowledge and experience in YouTube and the creator/influencer industry.
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills.

About The Job

The YouTube Business Technology team (BizTech) is responsible for internal enterprise software solutions powering the YouTube Business Organization. This includes full-stack first-party software, second-party instances (built by Google, customized for YouTube), and third-party solutions (Salesforce, Sprinklr etc).

The YouTube Business Organization is complex, and for our products and services to succeed we must deeply understand the needs and behaviour of our internal users. We’re seeking a researcher to join the recently founded BizTech Design team, helping us better understand our user base.

In this role, you will be responsible for establishing the strategy as well as execution of our internal user research initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Design, manage, and execute independent and collaborative research studies for BizTech products and experiences.
  • Research, publish, and maintain a codified set of Critical User Journeys, and collaborate on a scoring framework to track the health of Critical User Journeys across products over time.
  • Socialize findings to diverse audiences through compelling research decks and presentations that lead with story and translate insights into strategy.
