About Us: Diaconia is a leading provider of aerospace and defense solutions, dedicated to supporting various government contracts, including the C-17 Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Research/Data Analyst to join our team at Robins AFB, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing a specialized MS Access database tool that serves as a cornerstone for tracking technical data related to the C-17 FMS fleet.
Job Overview: The Research/Data Analyst will be responsible for the continued operation, maintenance, and potential modification of a custom MS Access database tool. This tool is being used multiple country teams within the C-17 FMS program. The Analyst will be an expert in MS Access, capable of importing data from various systems, resolving issues, and enhancing the functionality of the database as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Database Maintenance: Ensure the proper functioning of the MS Access database tool, including resolving technical issues, optimizing performance, and applying updates as necessary.
- Data Integration: Import and manage data from various sources into the MS Access database, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Tool Enhancement: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving the functionality and usability of the database. Develop and implement tools and functions within MS Access to meet these needs.
- User Support: Provide support to multiple country teams, which may consist of Foreign Liaison Officers (FLOs) from diverse cultural backgrounds. Address their inquiries, troubleshoot problems, and maintain strong working relationships.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the FLOs and other team members to ensure a seamless operation of the database tool, sharing insights and best practices.
- Network Management: Oversee the database residing on a network separate from the US Government network/systems. Collaborate with the IT person responsible for supporting this network to ensure its reliability and security.
Minimum Qualifications::
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in mathematics, computer science, one of the physical sciences, engineering or a closely-related scientific discipline
- Fifteen (15) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD
- Specific education/experience requirements may be waived at discretion of EPASS CO
- US Citizenship Required; Ability to obtain a closed, favorable Special Agent Check (SAC) prior to start date. Must have ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance after start date
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access, including extensive experience with database maintenance and development.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Previous experience with foreign military sales programs or working with international teams is a plus.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of various country teams and users.
Additional Information
- This position may require occasional travel or remote support.
- The Analyst will have the support of the original database creator (FLO) and a separate IT team for network support.
- Candidates should be prepared to work with a diverse group of clients, some of whom may have varying communication styles and expectations.
