Scope: Reporting to the Global Marketing VP, the Director of Strategic and International Marketing is responsible for the strategic development, management and growth of the Medical Device portfolio to fulfill our vision of delivering differentiated solutions across a wide variety of women’s health issues. This person contributes to the insights, assessments, and early product portfolio development work, in concert with the Innovation team, Strategy & Business Development and R&D colleagues. The Director plans, organizes, and controls several projects within an assigned product line from conceptual stages, through development to launch across all geographies, partnering with Strategy and R&D colleagues to ensure portfolio plan syncs with broader CSI vision. In addition to product-focused strategies, s/he is also responsible for key market research, insights gathering and needs assessments for our international markets to develop and execute our global expansion plans. The candidate will be a key thought leader and influencer of cross-functional product teams to drive profitable growth.

Job Summary: The Director has three primary objectives; one to ensure that current products meet customer challenges and that we are able to enhance those products to keep them relevant in the marketplace; two, assist with future product innovation to meet the needs of the organization as well as satisfy our on-going customer requirements; and three, to collaborate with regional leaders and product managers to evaluate international growth opportunities and build out a strategy to bring them to life. The position requires a highly motivated individual who can work efficiently with cross functional partners to ensure strategic alignment and accomplish complex deliverables (i.e. lead brand planning, develop POAs, and brand communications, etc.)

Essential Functions & Accountabilities: Discovery/Ideation:

• Contribute to defining the strategic platforms for new products and build a robust pool of ideas, such as product enhancements, to mine when appropriate to achieve revenue, market and product portfolio objectives for Medical Device

• In partnership with Product Managers, R&D, BD and Strategy teams, build new product pipeline against strategic platforms to deliver 5-year plan

Analysis:

• Serve as the Marketing lead for our analysis – Collaborate with other marketing leaders and Strategy team to build out business case development, simulated test market, concept testing and tracking mechanisms and connecting with Strategy colleagues to develop cohesive recommendation

Planning (NPI process):

• Plan appropriately through each stage of product development to ensure adequate depth/resources to meet business objectives

• Create and oversee new product launches and incubation processes, including managing a portfolio of product tests & learns and launches of various sizes that are balanced to meet company needs on existing brands, leading and working in close collaboration with other functions • Oversight for long-term product pipeline capital planning Communication Management (Internal & External Stakeholders):

• Inspire and engage others to embrace change in order to build upon the strengths of CSI products by initiating changes that could go beyond current systems and processes

• Communicate and influence senior management regarding product pipelines and readiness for products to shift into steady state business

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and develop a high-performance team, and will direct internal and external resources throughout the value chain to deliver objectives

• Coordinates and collaborates cross-functionally through-out the entire organization to include Brand, Channel Marketing, customer service, sales, innovation, R&D, Strategy and

Operations

• Attracts, leads, manages, coaches and mentors employees in such a way to ensure retention, development, and superior performance of the entire team

• Develops deep understanding of channel and customer drivers to include marketing insights and customer experience

Travel: • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Strategic thinker with excellent executional management skills and the ability to multitask

• Proactive, flexible, and self-motivated

• Able to handle the stress of multiple high-pressure initiatives simultaneously while delivering on committed timelines

• Experience with Single Use products and associated strategy across all or most of the associated clinical areas

• Comfortable working in ambiguous or high stress situations

• Track record of working collaboratively in a matrixed environment

• Proven track record of successful portfolio results

• Demonstrated pattern of intellectual curiosity

• A true team player with excellent interpersonal skills

• Ability to develop pro forma P&Ls and basic understanding of modeling to build and achieve revenue projections

Work Environment:

• Prolonged sitting in front of a computer

• Hybrid work environment

Experience:

• 5-7 years U.S. Medical Device or Pharmaceutical Marketing experience leading successful product lines for growth

• Direct Sales experience or KOL relationship management preferred

• Product launch experience with responsibility for driving specialty physician preference and adoption

• Deep knowledge of the medical device space, specifically the Hospital and ASC markets

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• Advanced degree preferred, especially an MBA or an advanced scientific degree
