THE ROLE

The Senior Manager of Communications and Influencer Marketing will be responsible for developing communications strategy and programming that drive relevance, demand creation and earned media placements.

The position will work in lock step with North America marketing team and will collaborate with global brand communications / corporate communications teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes communications strategic plans, including written materials, with a focus on product launches and brand building
  • Leads programmatic work with various PR and influencer agencies developing thoughtful briefs and yearlong success metrics
  • Stays abreast on key trends to ensure the team is executing innovative programs that will resonate with today’s consumer
  • Develops relationships with external media and influencers to influence positive press coverage and conversation for the brands
  • Monitors and keeps abreast of industry trends and competitor strategy
  • Supports in weekly and monthly reporting, including YOY Impressions, Engagement Rate, Top EMV Posts, and special initiative highlights

Qualifications

  • A four year undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field of study
  • 7-10 years in both agency and in-house experience
  • Strategic thinker who is an experienced storyteller and brand marketer
  • Proven track record with media and achieved successes in launching a brand or product that struck a cultural chord
  • Strong writing skills required; content marketing experience a plus
  • Creative thinker who looks for new ways to do things vs. applying a formula
  • Possesses excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple campaigns and projects at a time, ensuring timely delivery of strategy and action points
  • Strong ability to think and plan ahead, stays on top of upcoming cultural, social, and brand marketing calendar events
  • Strong partnership skills - A connector who finds joy in building trusted connections within the company and the industry
  • Self-starter who is an expert in the field of brand and communications, resilient through change, with strong ability to context-shift, learn, and drive meaningful results
  • High EQ; able to persuade, influence, and build trust at the executive level

We disclose the compensation range for positions in compliance with local law. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Wella Company's total rewards package for employees. Pay Range: < $98,300 - $144,100 > salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonus plan or variable pay, depending on the role. In addition, Wella Company provides a rich variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
