The salary range for this role, based in New York is $170,000 to $212,600, range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate’s experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Position Purpose

This position serves as an expert and liaison to the Brand, Commercial & Shopper Marketing teams for the execution, production and distribution of merchandising materials supporting customer-specific channel plans and programming at POP. The position is also responsible for directing the production agencies in program execution that is most efficient in accordance with the programming calendar and budget parameters. To develop staff to increase their knowledge, productivity, and contribution to the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for the Commercial and Shopper Marketing teams to ensure the development and production of programs which are in line with brand strategies as prescribed in the Commercial & Shopper Marketing plan.
  • Direct workload of department to ensure delivery of programs is completed in a timely manner.
  • Lead the negotiation process of the highest quality promotional materials with manufacturers and agencies to ensure optimal per/unit prices, streamline lead times and most appropriate/effective manufacturing, warehousing, and delivery options.
  • Seek out unique and effective promotional programs and ideas from creative agencies, field sales and marketing organizations.
  • Responsible for creating and releasing of the At POP and Multi brand budgets.
  • Expand use of resources by developing more strategic and fact-based disbursement of funds to align and support national programming both standalone and multi branded.
  • Investigate the efficiencies of resources by partnering with internal support teams to identify a universe of merchandisable accounts. Consider shifting at POP budget to build an allocate POS system to efficiently cover the displayable pool.
  • Increase speed to market by building an on-demand inventory of main tactical pieces bar mats, racks, signage etc. to be dispersed to field as needed allowing larger volume to produce for cost efficiencies, satisfy on demand needs and reduce local teams sourcing and purchasing.
  • Review and reconcile spend vs. budgets of production and purchasing
  • Review and reconcile multi branded expenses to include but not limited to freight, warehousing, and sales tax.
  • Act as the PRUSA Brand Champion by engaging and fostering strong relationships with global partners to broaden POS/VAP reach, cost efficiencies and reduction of vendors of strategic items
  • Become S&R steward in and out of industry for stronger alignment on corporate deliverables. Bring stronger understanding of new to market products, materials, waste inefficiencies and compostable options to deliver or exceed company’s guidelines for POS and packaging.
  • Continue to work closely with HQ on the top priority of S&R to maintain and broaden our compliant status and become best in class.
  • Manage IBP timelines for POS/VAP for needs, feedback, and commitment target dates.
  • Responsible for the relationship with procurement agency and POS warehouse partners.
  • Oversees the development and execution of required reporting.
  • Ensure comprehensive and timely analysis/reporting on results for all programming and VAP.
  • Prepare and deliver quarterly POS/VAP and S&R spend reports and inventory to headquarters.
  • Prepare reports of final quantities and allocations of VAP to S&OP

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in the development and execution of promotions and programming strategies and tactics.
  • Communication skills, both written and oral, to deliver program objectives, strategies, and tactical support.
  • Production background preferred to aid in development and delivery of support elements.
  • Develop, maintain, and adjust (as necessary) promotional requirements to meet changing promotional calendar objectives.
  • Develop and manage budgets.
  • Experience in managing external agencies
  • Highly adaptive to change, able to pivot when required
  • Questions the way things are done in a constructive manner and recommends new ways of working that improves results both within role and for the team at large
  • Must be flexible, customer service oriented.
  • Must be able to analyze and trouble shoot situations that arise both in field and corporately.
  • Must be “time” sensitive to develop timelines to meet deadlines and commitments.
  • Ability to understand and work within the brand guidelines and deliver unique, creative programs/tactics.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal staff and outside vendors and partners.
  • Creative both in program development and problem solving.
  • Negotiating skills. Knowledge of spirits industry and trade channels preferred.

Education

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree preferred– preferably in Marketing or Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing; Proficiency in a wide array of office software platforms (MS Outlook & Office).
