Summary

This Senior Manager of Social Media Strategy will work with the leader of Brand Strategy & Engagement to develop the channel and content strategies for the company's Organic Social Media channels, driving innovation and forward-thinking plans along with strong performance and engagement across all owned channels. The position is a key partner in engaging existing and new customers across social media, driving the content strategy and execution across channels. This role will partner closely with cross-functional partners to deliver innovative, engaging and fully integrated omni-channel campaigns.

Responsibilities

Social Media Strategy

  • Lead the development of the strategic roadmap and campaign plans for the brand’s social media channels, including (but not limited to) TikTok, Instagram, Threads, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, X/Twitter, Snapchat as well as new and emerging channels.
  • Deliver customer-first social media campaigns that drive FANDOM: aligning functional partners while driving relevancy and best-in-class engagement
  • Liaise between strategic and operational marketing departments, marketing channel and creative teams to deliver fully-integrated omni-marketing campaigns. Partners seamlessly with Paid social team, external platform representatives and tool vendors to build collaborative strategies that meet channel objectives and business goals.

Social Media Operations & Execution

  • Manage the day-to-day operations and deployment of social media platforms/content, including content calendar development + maintenance, content scheduling/publishing, enabling social commerce and ensuring compliance to legal and regulatory UGC processes.
  • Lead the community management strategy and execution to increase brand engagement with Fans.

Social Media Content Creation

  • Drive development and creation of innovative, trend-relevant, aspirational storytelling that inspires and engages fans across all social channels, delivering against the brand strategy to drive brand equity and promote key campaigns. Including planned and real-time creation.
  • Implement Creator partnerships to drive new audiences and content innovation, collaborating with key teams (Influencer, Paid Social, PR) to increase buzz-worthy personalities and ambassador relationships.

Social Media Performance & Optimization

  • Analyze Social channels and content to assess and optimize performance, identify trends, and outline key takeaways and recommendations — enhancing findings, Customer sentiment and trend to influence future strategies and collect in-the-moment opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 7-9 years of relevant experience in-house or at an agency with at least 3+ years managing direct reports
  • Experience working in beauty, consumer goods, fashion or retail industries preferred
  • Ability to brief senior leaders, develop relationships with internal and external teams, and be solid support for immediate team members
  • Experience in presentation development and visual storytelling
  • Ability to think critically, curiously, strategically and innovatively, and change course as needed to achieve desired results
  • Highly organized with the ability to project manage, self-start and prioritize against key business priorities for yourself and your team in a quick environment
  • Proficient on Mac and in Microsoft Office: Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook with an in-depth knowledge of social media management and analytics tools (ie Sprinklr, Dash Hudson, Netbase)

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communication or related field
