SVP Of Marketing K12 Individual Job Responsibilities

The SVP of Marketing, K12 Individual will report directly to the Executive Vice President, Individual Travel & Experiences, and will be lead Marketing for Individual (one of 3 divisions in the company). He/She/They will also work closely with cross-functional leadership from Product Management, Sales, and Operations. Responsibilities for the role include:

  • Plan and oversee execution of multi-channel demand generation campaigns
  • Lead the Division’s efforts to design and execute successful holistic, multi-channel campaigns, including social, influencer, digital, content-led, and traditional advertising
  • Expand marketing reach through combination of new products and tactics including new digital channel/platform testing
  • Maximize conversion through end-to-end customer journey planning, identifying opportunities to improve ROI of existing campaign strategies
  • Drive incremental revenue from cross selling to existing WorldStrides group travel customers
  • Develop new strategic growth initiatives including launching new brand and category awareness marketing campaigns and partner marketing efforts

SVP Of Marketing, K12 Individual Job Duties

  • Marketing-Led Profitable Growth
  • Work closely with Division Leadership to plan and achieve profitable revenue growth via targeted Marketing with an emphasis on demand generation and direct response
  • Lead resourceful and best-in-class Awareness, Consideration, and Conversion in a relatively under-realized market space (direct to consumer experiential travel and career programs)
  • Manage and collaborate with a team of geographically dispersed marketing professionals and engage with the business and deliver on determined goals
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders in increasing the customer base by growing the core offerings as well as through strategic expansion into new products and new markets
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of market and competitive landscape
  • Marketing Campaigns and Collateral
  • Develop strategy and creative briefs for all campaigns and collateral, working closely to establish goals and metrics with division leadership
  • Work closely with creative services, analytics, and digital marketing groups to develop creative response to serve business needs
  • Provide program-wide leadership on digital advertising in conjunction with the Head of Digital Marketing
  • Evaluate campaigns and collateral: list effectiveness, appeal of design, offer response, and ultimate sales success
  • Assist in development of social media strategy and execution for product lines. Oversee posts, customer responses, videos, photos, contests, etc. on social media sites, with careful attention to growth of brand awareness and relevance
  • Manage the ongoing development and maintenance of marketing content on the website
  • Additional responsibilities as needed, including special team and corporate projects

III. Continuous Improvement

  • Plan, manage, and evaluate marketing programs for customer acquisition and retention
  • Participate in the development and management of budget for marketing initiatives
  • Play an integral role in evolution of company’s and division’s branding strategy
  • Work closely with the Product Management, Sales, and Operations departments in support of these departments' requirements for productivity and quality of service

  • Player-coach mentality combining the willingness to own specific projects while at the same time mentoring and supporting team members
  • Excellent team management and organizational skills, with the ability effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Well-rounded marketer with both creative and analytical abilities that can provide input on design and copy but also an understanding of marketing analytics and reporting
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other functional leaders
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Requirements

Education, Experience, and Training:

  • Master’s degree or higher in Marketing or related field
  • 15 years of consumer marketing experience with strong record of driving revenue for a product or service brand; K12 or travel services marketing experience a plus but not required
  • Strong demonstrated expertise in direct response marketing
  • Marketing leadership experience, from setting marketing strategy to evaluating results, in a multichannel marketing environment, with a strong focus on digital marketing
