We are looking to hire a Demand Planner to and data analytics of our catalog of over 1,000 SKUs in the D2C channel. You will manage the statistical, promotional, and total forecasts to drive retail and eCommerce business in stock conditions and optimized inventory levels. You own analyzing the promotional lift as well as the instruments that create demand generation. You will determine causal factors impacting forecasts and actuals including weather, influencer events, promotions, etc. You will engage cross functionally with Finance, Technology, Inventory Management, Fulfillment Operations and Business/Commercial teams to ensure integrated forecast planning for your businesses.

What You Will Do

  • Develop e-commerce business demand forecasts by working with our digital marketing, site, commercial, and planning teams to understand channel growth, site behaviors, historical demand, product trends, merging quantitative data (e.g. orders, shipments) and other marketing, customer, promotional, and market intelligence demand signals
  • Identify trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex datasets; create actionable recommendations using data mining, analysis and visualization
  • Tracks & reviews forecast accuracy (base and promo), reconciles forecast exceptions and tunes forecast as needed. Reviews demand history for outliers and develop recommendations and manage system settings for outliers
  • Collaborate with supply planning to ensure successful inventory management throughout item lifespan
  • Monitor and evaluate KPI’s such as fill rate, forecast accuracy and conformance to plan in dollars and units
  • Manages new demand forecasting units and new product introduction processes
  • Maintains key metrics against goals for forecast accuracy and performance reports Work cross-functionally with the buying/planning team to validate inventory needs based on our channel trends and consumer demand, forecast returns, and help maximize our inventory efficiency
  • Provide selling insights specific to e-commerce to help inform supply planning and commercial teams (e.g. out of stock requests), and creative (e.g. digital asset success vs. productivity of sku)
  • Assist in new product and promotional planning with the goal of aligning our marketing, site, and finance forecasts with those from planning
  • Work closely with our data and CRM teams to incorporate key customer insights into our forecasting capabilities
  • Identify areas of risk and opportunity for our online business, working to reconcile our forecast with finance and clearly communicate issues or opportunities as they arise

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, mathematics, business, or related quantitative disciplines
  • 5+ years of progressive relevant demand planning experience. E-commerce experience required
  • Advanced skills in Excel and knowledge of Oracle or other similar planning applications
  • Core strength in advanced forecasting concepts, principles, and best practices
  • Intermediate SQL skills is preferred and Excel proficiency is required
  • Preferred knowledge and experience in Demand forecasting systems
  • Preferred knowledge and experience in PowerBI

Interaction and Environment

  • You will be a key member of the Operations team and will report to the Senior Director of Supply Chain
  • Daily work hours flex to build collaborative partnerships and timely communications across multiple geographies and time zones
  • Indirectly leads, motivates, and influences a global team, spanning multiple regions and cultures
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on multiple factors, such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience.
