We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary People Technology & Analytics Director to join Generate Biomedicines P&C team and to work collaboratively to build our People Technology and People Analytics approach. In this strategic and hands-on role, you will report to the Chief People Officer to spearhead the development and execution of data and technology-driven P&C strategies. By leveraging analytics and technology, you will optimize talent management processes, elevate the employee experience, and facilitate data-informed decision-making across the organization. The People Technology & Analytics Director and will be responsible for working with the Chief People Officer, People & Culture functional leads, the Digital team, and with stakeholders across the company to design and implement a comprehensive, integrated, multi-year people technology roadmap and people analytics strategy and outcomes. This role will rely on data analysis to deliver valuable P&C insights, and the leader in this role will have the opportunity to implement technology to enhance manager and employee effectiveness, supporting exceptional employee experiences.

Here's how you will contribute:

Leadership and Strategy Development:

  • Demonstrate a proven track record of innovation and creativity in developing and implementing forward-thinking P&C strategies that leverage data and technology.
  • Take ownership of building, evolving and refining the people technology roadmap and people analytics strategy, aligned with the organization's overall strategic goals.
  • Deeply understand the people technology landscape and stay abreast of emerging tools, trends, and best practices, incorporating them into the P&C strategy where relevant.
  • Lead through influence, collaborating with P&C leaders, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gain buy-in and drive the adoption of data-driven P&C initiatives.
  • Although this role is an individual contributor role at present, we expect that this leader will build a team over time and will be responsible for both talent selection and team management.

People Analytics and Insights:

  • Utilize advanced data analytics techniques to gather, analyze, and interpret P&C data, providing meaningful insights to inform decision-making at all levels.
  • Apply your deep knowledge of available people technology tools and platforms to identify and implement innovative approaches for data analysis and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain a robust reporting framework and dashboards that present key P&C metrics and trends to stakeholders, enabling data-driven discussions and actions.
  • Proactively seek out opportunities to use analytics to drive continuous improvement, uncover talent trends, and identify areas for P&C process optimization.

Technology Enablement:

  • Evaluate and select appropriate P&C technologies, tools, and platforms to enhance manager and employee effectiveness, streamline processes, and improve the overall employee experience.
  • Leverage your expertise in the people technology landscape to identify and implement best-in-class solutions, ensuring they align with the organization's needs and goals.
  • Lead the implementation and integration of P&C systems, ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning and adoption of technology solutions, providing training, support, and guidance to stakeholders to maximize their usage and impact.

Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with P&C leadership, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to understand their needs, challenges, and priorities, and provide data-driven insights and solutions.
  • Communicate complex analytics concepts and findings in a clear and concise manner to diverse audiences, including executive leaders, P&C professionals, and business stakeholders.
  • Use your leadership characteristics to build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external vendors, leveraging their expertise and resources to optimize people technology solutions.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and fun, ensuring that work is both productive and enjoyable for the team.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • The Ideal Candidate will have 10 + years’ progressive experience in systems, HR technology and people analytics , ideally within the tech, biotech or life sciences industry.
  • 5+ years of experienc e in a senior level People Analytics & Technology leadership role
  • Strong expertise in people analytics, P&C systems, and technology platforms.
  • Deep understanding of P&C processes and practices, including talent management, performance management, employee engagement, and HR compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage data and analytics to drive insights and decision-making.
  • Experience in selecting, implementing, and managing P&C technology solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and project management capabilities, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA, and their implications on P&C data management.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven track record of innovation and creativity in developing and implementing P&C strategies.
  • Desire to build and refine P&C strategies and leverage data and technology to drive results.
  • Deep knowledge of the people technology landscape and available tools.
  • Strong leadership skills, leading through influence to gain buy-in and drive adoption of P&C initiatives.
