Responsibilities

Market Research 40%

  • Completes market research to identify trends and/or needs of targeted clients, influencers, and new/existing verticals.
  • Market research may include, but not be limited to surveys, desktop research, phone calls, and tradeshows/seminars.
  • Analyzes and compares competitor's product lines in relation to the organization's current offerings.
  • Identify improvements for new and existing products.

Product & Service Development 20%

  • Serves as a liaison between other departments for the purposes of gathering feedback from internal stakeholders, as well as client and influencer feedback.
  • Disseminates information to CCO and steering committee pertaining to the status of product development.
  • Identify, scope, and map a path for new products and services that can be offered to new and existing customers for growth.
  • Educate sales team on opportunities in each market, partner with operations to ensure products and services can be well executed, and work with marketing to advertise the new opportunities.
  • Partner with business analysts to conduct internal and external audits of the products and services.

Financial Modeling 20%

  • Develops strategies for competitive positioning to increase sales and promotions.
  • Work with the CFO and CCO on development cost requirements including but not limited to manufacturing equipment cost, personnel cost, and field support cost, etc.
  • Determine the market size for new product development ideas.

Go to Market Strategy 10%

  • Participates in the development of document specifications that outline revisions or additional features of existing products, and the conception of new products.
  • Involved in the product development life cycle from start to finish.
  • Develop and implement optimized processes for new product commercialization.
  • Drive project-specific and cross functional teams across the organization for specific areas in the go to market, market development and delivery of the services offerings in the market.
  • Train sales representatives and department heads on new products and services.

Thought Leadership 10%

  • Evolve product vision and strategy based on research, data and industry trends.
  • Develop a long-term product strategy/ roadmap.
  • Create & articulate compelling value propositions around the use of product strategy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4-6 years’ experience in product or service development.
  • Performs work with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Handles complex issues independently.
  • Possesses expert knowledge of subject matter.
