Purpose of Position

The Social Media Strategist will create, implement, optimize, and measure social strategies through engaging content to grow online presence and connect with various social audiences.

The Social Media Strategist will play a critical role in leveraging social media channels effectively, building brand awareness and driving engagement through meaningful connections to build brand loyalty and an active and engaged online community.

Tasks And Responsibilities

  • Establish social content strategy that achieves defined objectives of social channels, working closely with cross-functional teams to bring content strategy to life
  • Oversee development of content calendars and compelling ad hoc posts, optimizing content for different platforms
  • Exploration and vetting of opportunities for collaboration with existing and potential partners
  • Develop strategy and process for covering events and activations, partnering closely with Events/Partnerships teams
  • Stand up regular test & learn cadence to determine campaigns/content that best resonate with audiences
  • Monitoring and analyzing performance of content and social KPIs to provide insights and refine strategies in partnership with Digital Analyst
  • Active understanding of social platform and industry trends, emerging platforms, algorithm influences and platform best practices
  • Partner closely with Social Content Creator to collaborate on bringing content needs to life
  • Lead community management efforts, both proactive and reactive to engage new audiences, explore potential future collaborations, and responding those who have engaged with the brand
  • Monitor and analyze brand mentions and conversations to gain insights into customer and audience sentiment, market trends, and competitive intelligence to understand perceptions and to allow for informed decisions and refined strategies

  • Working knowledge of creating, scheduling, and measuring performance of social content
  • Experience leading content strategy on Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube and TikTok
  • Experience with social tools such as Meltwater and Sprout
  • Creative and analytical skills
