Education Content Creator
Are you a teacher interested in developing the next generation of STEM content to help prepare today’s students for tomorrow? Then we want to hear from you! Robo Wunderkind is on a mission to make STEM accessible to every child, preparing them to pursue education and careers in STEM. At the center of our product ecosystem is Robo, a truly innovative and delightful modular robot that builds kids’ skills in coding, problem solving, design thinking, teamwork, and more. The companion to Robo is our STEAM Hub, an integrated ecosystem of content, tools, and resources to help teachers plan, deliver and evaluate awesome learning experiences. This is where you come in! We are in the midst of scaling our content in STEAM Hub.
As a teacher, your experience and insights into what makes an effective learning experience in today’s classrooms will be invaluable for our teachers using Robo. Our STEM content is joyful, engaging, and interdisciplinary, offering students contemporary problems to solve such as planning and executing a mission to Mars with a Robo Rover or researching science-based ideas to reduce coastline erosion and designing a robot to automate a potential solution. Our ideal candidate will be able to combine their experience in the classroom with the creativity and vision to design the next generation of innovative STEM experiences.
This position is a part-time, contract role with a minimum commitment of 8-10 hours per week (on average because we completely understand if your availability may need to fluctuate some weeks). The work is 100% remote and flexible, with the occasional team check-in the only requirement on your calendar.
Tasks
You will be expected to:
- Collaborate to research, brainstorm, and outline new content ideas
- Develop STEM lessons aligned with CSTA, NGSS, and our internal content standards
- Create clear instructional materials for lessons, including teacher- and student-facing materials like reference documents, slides, and images or videos of Robo in action. You will not be responsible for the graphic design of these materials (but some graphic design experience is a plus).
- Consistently apply our internal style guidelines for writing and formatting content.
- Respond to and incorporate detailed feedback.
Requirements
Our ideal candidate:
- Has at least three years of experience as an elementary school teacher, with preference given to teachers working in Title I public schools.

- Has subject matter expertise in science and/or STEM at the elementary school level.
- Has basic knowledge of and skill with coding and computer science concepts.
- Has strong written communication skills and comfort with technology
