MAIN SCOPE AND PURPOSE:

Mad Monkey’s Junior Regional Marketing Manager has a key role in working closely with Regional Operations Managers, General Managers, Regional Guest Experience Managers, Regional Travel and Tour Manager, Guest Experience Managers, Travel and Tour Manager, and other critical stakeholders. You will be required to ensure that our hostels have up-to-date and relevant signage, promotional materials and design materials that comply with the company's brand standards in each hostel. Out-of-date, damaged, worn-out signage should be removed or replaced.

The role also involves content creation, including photography, social media, videos, and blog posts, as well as curating event ideas with local teams, overseeing influencer visits as part of the Creative Hub program, and providing marketing support for new hostel openings in the region.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

Content Creation:

  • Provide a weekly long format article to the Global Copy Manager for editing and publishing on our blog pages. This can be generated with AI as per the brands AI generated content guidelines.
  • Create photo and video content for the social media manager at each of your locations and work with guest experience reps to collect photo and video content from them.

General Marketing Support:

  • Ensure all in-hostel signage is up to date and on brand
  • Provide design briefs as required to the Design Team
  • Provide creative ideas for events and initiatives that drive revenue
  • Maintain spend in line with the marketing budget
  • Work with the Global Events and CSR Manager to ensure each hostel actively supports a local community charity and that our teams engage with the CSR partner meaningfully
  • Ensure that each locations bar, restaurant, local events, and rooms are being promoted on search, paid media, blog, and social media
  • Provide support for new openings in the designated region

On-Ground Coordination:

  • Hold weekly meetings (video call) with the General Managers, Regional General Managers Travel & Tour Managers and Guest Experience Managers to update them on the current marketing activities. Capture requirements and align marketing priorities accordingly.
  • Work with the Global Events Team to ensure that promotional materials, marketing and social media is in place to support upcoming events
  • Organize printing and materials for hostels and maintain quality and cost control in line with the budget
  • Identify revenue priorities for each location with the Regional General Managers — either food, rooms, bar, tours or CSR
  • Work with General Managers to create regular signage audits throughout the entire hostel
