JOB Summary

The Marketing Manager works in collaboration with marketing and sales to help plan and execute B2B marketing campaigns and initiatives that support the growth and success of Combined Insurance and Chubb Workplace Benefits group sales.

Responsibilities

The Marketing Manager will assist in developing marketing campaigns, collateral and positioning to support lead generation, nurturing and conversion, while increasing visibility for Combined and Chubb Workplace Benefits in the group space with employers, brokers and influencers.

The ideal candidate is a strategic and tactical marketer with hands-on experience in designing, activating, and optimizing customer-centric marketing campaigns and collateral that enable Sales to initiate and strengthen customer relationships.

The Marketing Manager will build strong relationships with internal and external partners to help ensure all campaigns and initiatives are aligned with business and broader marketing objectives, and that they are grounded in a test-learn-refine approach. This individual should also have experience leveraging data to analyze and report on marketing effectiveness. The Marketing Manager will report to Combined’s AVP of Group Marketing and Business Development

Competencies

  • Plan and execute B2B multi-channel marketing campaigns targeting business leaders, brokers and influencers, in effort to generate new business leads and opportunities.
  • Create engaging, valuable content that demonstrates expertise and leadership, drives awareness, generates leads, that can be used for customer engagement.
  • Work with agency partners to support high-quality campaign development and activation, keeping pace with best-practices and new approaches.
  • Develop group messaging and positioning that attracts, engages and helps to solidify new business sales and opportunities, including on the Web, social media, email, and sales collateral and presentations.
  • Foster engagement and partnership across internal stakeholders and collaborators, including sales, training, underwriting, product and legal teams.
  • Track marketing campaign effectiveness and uses data to inform and guide new/evolving tactics that result in effective lead generation and/or customer retention.

Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to develop effective marketing communications for target audience.
  • Experience in developing and executing marketing campaigns for a complex industry, ideally in the group/B2B marketing and sales environments.
  • Ability to multi-task in order to handle a number of projects at once, while remaining flexible to changing business requirements and priorities.
  • Experience in content marketing, digital marketing and social media channels to reach and engage business decision-makers and/or brokers, including analytics.
  • Adept at collaborating with multiple stakeholders and partners on projects, including external agencies.
  • Works with urgency in fast-paced sales-driven environment; Strong project management skills to ensure timely delivery and to meet business and sales needs and expectations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with a good sense for presentation, layout, and design.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred degree in marketing, communications or related major.
  • 5-8 years of solid experience in marketing.
  • Experience in Business-to-Business (B2B), influencer and/or broker marketing environments.
  • Insurance and/or employee benefits experience a plus.
