Amazon’s Fashion & Fitness Social Marketing team is seeking a highly organized, creative, and self-directed social marketing manager to own and scale our core social media channels, including our organic efforts on Instagram and YouTube and our paid efforts across all apps. The individual in this role thinks big to activate innovative campaigns across all points of the marketing funnel, leveraging current social media landscape insights, customer sentiment, channel metrics, and performance data to inform executional approaches that deliver results. As a member of our team, they are responsible for building highly effective partnerships with our internal social ads counterparts to create and optimize successful campaigns, as well as collaborating with influencer and creative leads to raise the bar on our daily organic presence by managing a steady stream of community-obsessed content that captivates existing followers and converts new followers.

This candidate will be a subject matter expert for Instagram and YouTube and paid social within the team and regularly be asked to provide performance updates and their point-of-view, calling on their social experience and expertise. This critical team member will demonstrate strong ownership, strategic thinking, and maintain clear and concise communication. They will be an excellent problem solver, identifying trade-offs while anticipating and managing potential blockers to achieve shared goals, and must be incredibly comfortable reviewing data, diving deep, authoring insights, identifying trends, and sharing their findings and strategic recommendations with stakeholders across broader teams.

The social marketing manager will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, pushing partners to raise the performance bar. They clearly define strategies and build roadmaps for organic and paid success, provide ongoing channel-specific direction, manage multiple end-to-end workflows, and proactively provide thoughtful solutions to changing needs. This candidate is a self-starter and leader with meticulous attention to detail and the proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

Key job responsibilities

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To The Following

  • Creates and executes daily organic channel management with clear KPIs to meet varying objectives
  • Creates and executes paid social roadmap with clear KPIs to meet varying objectives
  • Maintains understanding of social media metrics and data analysis
  • Regularly contributes to learnings, reporting, and "think big" recommendations
  • Executes toward goals and performance metrics across paid and organic and makes recommendations for continuous improvements
  • Identifies emerging channel trends (content formats and subject matter), partnering with paid social to define and execute experiments
  • Collaborates with creative, merchandising, and influencer partners for always-on programming to ensure tactics and content ladder to overall business strategy and goals
  • Leverages paid insights to inform organic approaches (and vise versa)

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
  • Experience building and optimizing multiple, simultaneous marketing campaigns
  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion
  • Experience managing or working within cross-functional marketing and creative teams
  • Experience equally comfortable building strategic marketing plans and executing at a tactical level

Preferred Qualifications

  • Highly detail-oriented, excellent organizational skills, and ability to multi-task, strong analytical and quantitative skills, ability to capture and use various data points to develop and measure marketing programs

The base pay for this position ranges from $63,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $151,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
