Yogi (East West Tea Company) is searching for an experienced Marketing Specialist to support our leading wellness tea brands in North America, Choice Organics and Yogi Tea. We’re looking for a digital native who is passionate about wellness trends to develop and curate creative digital content and help nurture our online community.
Role Summary
The Global Marketing Specialist will be creative, passionate and curious, as well as a strong communicator. This omni-channel marketer will develop and implement highly engaging content, build and nurture a loyal online community, and spark activation via consumer promotions. Collaborating cross-functionally with both internal and external partners, they will report to the Global Senior Marketing Manager to deliver on our brand’s marketing strategy.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN:
Content Creation and Partnerships 40% of time
- Coordinates social media editorial calendar, planning content for the North American brands’ organic social media channels, including Meta (in-feed, Reels and Stories), TikTok and Pinterest
- Works cross-functionally to coordinate all efforts with the Global Content & Creative team, Marketing Content Lead, Marketing Influencer Lead and lead agency as needed
- Writes captions and creates content ad-hoc using Canva, Photoshop or another tool as needed
- Manages branded social media giveaways, including partnership outreach, content planning and prize facilitation
- Lead support for the Brand Ambassador Program
- Coordinates with Paid Media Lead on boosted post strategy
- Oversees and manages internal DAM, along with Global Content Specialist
Online Presence Ownership 35% of time
- Executes content scheduling and publishing across all channels, including TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, Reddit, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest
- Owns UGC strategy, engaging with users and repurposing content in-feed and within Stories
- Manages online community, engaging customers in both reactive and proactive conversations (excluding customer service inquiries)
- Coordinates with Consumer Relations Specialist to send out samples and product
- Provides backup support for the Consumer Relations Specialist as necessary
Strategy and Business Management 15% of time
- Manages the marketing budget in conjunction with the Senior Manager and team
- Passionate about the latest wellness and digital marketing trends and proactively makes recommendations to support Yogi’s leadership in the digital space
- Supports Senior Manager and team with the annual media, social, and content strategy development
Reporting and Analytics 10% of time
- Tracks and measure KPIs to determine effectiveness of content marketing strategy and community growth
- Identifies actionable consumer insights and provides recommendations to optimize brand marketing efforts
- Along with Content Lead, develops quarterly social media trend analysis to share with cross-functional team
WHAT YOU KNOW AND HAVE EXPERIENCED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or relevant field
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience in digital and social media marketing in an agency or consumer packaged goods company
- Natural food and beverage experience preferred
- Experience managing an online community or other service-oriented experience
- Experience executing on paid digital marketing strategies, including promoted social media and paid search
- Remote role, but preferred residence in Oregon or on Pacific Standard time zone
