Position Summary

EDiS’ marketing and sales team is an energetic group of humans who are focused on becoming the best and most strategic ally for our EDiS co-workers. We’re looking for a content creator and editorial coordinator to join our team! If you are a passionate individual for whom being creative is as important as breathing, we want you to own our content creation and digital platforms. Bonus points if you want to work with us as we figure out how technology and AI can help us make all our dreams come true in 40 hours a week.

You’ll be responsible for working with our team to craft engaging content for our website, social media channels, and public relations efforts. Ideally, you typically have the opposite of writer’s block, and can get as excited about our brand's potential as we do. Your priorities will be:

  • Portraying consistent brand messaging in our digital content
  • Telling engaging stories about EDiS, our people, and our clients and projects through the content you create
  • Being a part of our expansion into new markets

Day to Day you will:

  • Participate in the development of a content strategy to align with EDiS’ goals, target audiences, and brands.
  • Create engaging and informative content that includes but may not be limited to blog posts, newsletters, articles, press releases, project descriptions, employee bios, and website content that aligns with EDiS tone of voice principles.
  • Execute, and when appropriate, develop multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Manage the content of the companies’ websites and social media platforms.
  • Participate as needed in the creation of content for annual Award Submissions, speaking engagements, and public appearances as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with team to maintain indexed library of updated boiler plate information.
  • Coordinate the development and distribution of press releases and news articles highlighting our people, projects, and point of view.
  • Content creation and communications support for additional EDiS ventures as identified as priorities.
  • Attend events, primarily during normal business hours as appropriate for social media content.
  • Work with the marketing and sales team on strategic improvements, goal-setting, and team-driven initiatives.

Your Skills Look Like:

  • Ability to be creative and strategic, translating concepts and information into compelling copy
  • Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
  • Writing and editing skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and related software
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices
  • Team oriented with the ability to positively interact with internal and external team members
  • Familiarity with construction architecture, or design is a plus!
  • Familiarity with cameras and generating B-roll is a plus!

Your Experience Looks Like:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years’ experience in content creation
  • 1-2 years’ experience in social media management

This position pays overtime pay, on the rare occasion more than 40 hours of week is approved.

Senior Content Creator & Editorial Coordinator:

After achieving the day-to-day responsibilities of the Content Creator and Editorial Coordinator at a high level, including showing your ability to work independently, contribute to strategic conversations, and work effectively with the team, the Senior Content Creator & Editorial Coordinator is the next role. This role will expect more independent idea development and strategic thinking.

Content Manager & Editorial Coordinator:

After achieving the day-to-day responsibilities of the Sr. Content Creator and Editorial Coordinator, including showing your ability to manage your work to goals, and develop ideas to execution, the Content Manager & Editorial Coordinator is the next role. This role will expect a significant amount of strategic development, and managing of consultant partnerships.
