Director of Marketing
Job Summary
The Merriweather Lakehouse is a progressive and modern, 4 star hotel that sets the standard for hospitality excellence, innovative dining, and curated experiences. As we continue to expand our footprint, and embrace our identity as a nature and music themed Autograph Hotel, we are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Marketing to lead our marketing initiatives and drive our brand to new heights. This person will play an integral part in building and driving our brands marketing strategy, with an overall goal to engage and create - bridging the gap between the excitement and allure of possibility with the here and now of present day.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- To summarize, the Director of Marketing will be the brand ambassador for, and the face of, the Merriweather Lakehouse Hotel.
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to promote the hotel, food and beverage outlets, and in house events; increase brand awareness, and drive customer loyalty.
- Report directly to hotel General Manager and hotel Ownership. Collaborate with GM and Ownership to target and hire musical and entertainment artists to enhance the Hotel’s programming.
- Target new programming initiatives and activities and spearhead implementation.
- Create and manage impactful marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, social media, email marketing, influencer partnerships, and experiential marketing.
- Oversee the creation of compelling content that showcases our rooms, service, ambiance, and distinctive features.
- Manage and optimize the group's online presence, including websites, social media platforms, and online advertising campaigns.
- Monitor and analyze marketing campaign performance metrics, providing regular reports and insights to key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with external agencies and vendors to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in restaurant marketing, bringing new ideas and strategies to the table.
- Foster a culture of creativity and collaboration within the marketing team, inspiring an innovative approach and fresh perspective.
- Mentor and develop a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance and support for their growth and development.
- Align with peer leadership group to formulate strategic recommendations and align on key decisions.
- Advise senior leadership on strategy, implementation, and communication of programs.
Qualifications, Experience, And Education
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- The ideal candidate will have an exceptionally strong social media presence.
- Proven experience as a Marketing Director or similar leadership role within the industry.
- Strong understanding of modern marketing principles, strategies, and tactics, with expertise in digital marketing and social media platforms.
- Demonstrated experience in planning and executing successful multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Proficiency in utilizing marketing tools and platforms, including marketing automation, CRM, and analytics software.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and bringing dining experiences to life.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative approach, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal teams, restaurant/hotel partners, and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the current culinary and hospitality trends, and an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the modern service landscape.
