We are looking for an experienced Director of E-commerce & Marketing to join the Playmaker team. We are looking for sports lovers who will help grow our e-commerce and Marketing efforts by working with our social and marketing teams. Job duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for managing and growing Playmaker’s merchandise, athlete merchandise, and collectibles/memorabilia from product selection to sale to delivery and customer service
- Develop athlete, influencer, and brand partnerships and collaborations that drive e-commerce revenue
- Work with social and marketing teams to activate campaigns and drive e-commerce revenue
- Research industry trends, seeking opportunities to bridge gaps in business objectives, pushing the business forward to drive increased revenue in e-commerce
- Recommend and execute compelling marketing, promotions, and offerings to drive customer acquisition and engagement
- Manage the user experience of the website including site navigation, content development, checkout funnel, and promotional campaigns
- Identify new areas of e-commerce opportunity beyond current organizational thinking
- Partner with key cross-functional teams to ensure all relevant organizational goals and implications are factored into e-commerce projects.
- Lead product sourcing and development
- Run Playmaker’s paid social and email marketing efforts
Job requirements and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or marketing certifications are recommended (preferably in Marketing)
- 3+ years of experience with a minimum of 2 years of management experience
- Must understand sports and memorabilia industries
- Proven depth of knowledge in e-commerce (specifically Shopify, Amazon, and eBay)
- A strong track record showing a bias for action and a “can-do” attitude
- Strong Presentation and oral and written communication skills are required
- Excel in strategy and planning skills
- The expertise in emerging e-commerce tools and technologies
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
- Deep experience optimizing digital and email marketing
