Associate Brand Manager, Social Consumer
OVERVIEW
Perfetti Van Melle (makers of Mentos and Airheads!) is one of the world's largest manufacturers and distributors of confectionery and chewing gum with global brands that are being enjoyed in more than 150 countries worldwide. We’re currently seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Associate Brand Manager, Social Consumer to join our growing team.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Associate Brand Manager, Social Consumer will be the primary day to day point of contact for our PVM consumers. The incumbent will have two main responsibilities. The first part will include managing our workflow with consumers who directly reach out to PVM on various topics. This will involve working with our internal IT process and eternal vendor to organize, route and troubleshoot direct consumer interactions regarding all PVM North American products including Airheads and Mentos ensuring key consumer inquiry insights are shared with brands. The second part includes daily managing of our consumer brands social media accounts in partnership with the PVM marketing team and external agencies. This will involve providing ongoing community management across platforms and brands to ensure PVM brands have a consistent voice in social media, understanding brand voice and working with brand teams/agencies for content generation and posting rhythm as well as handling consumer inquiries via social channels. Lastly, this role will work on continuous process improvement to consistently identify areas of process improvement across consumer care and social media management including working with global teams to guide best practice thinking. This critical role ensures that we consistently deliver a positive experience with our brands and company. Additional responsibilities include:
- Daily interaction with internal consumer care system to address consumer issues and route to appropriate resource to address issues that require escalation.
- Directly engage (phone, email, or mail packages) with consumers on product /brand issues and work with internal stakeholders to resolve open cases.
- Lead the relationship with 3rd party consumer care provider to optimize resources and provide guidance on improved ways of working.
- Coordinate with brand teams to define the “social voice” of each brand and brand FAQ updates so as to engage with consumers on various platforms
- Work with brand teams and advertising agencies to generate social media content in line with brand strategies. This also includes identifying trends on social media as well as potential influencer partners
- Coordinate with Sales team on specific customer related social media opportunities to provide 360 degree campaign support
- Monitor consumer comments, posts, videos etc on various social platforms including META, Youtube, TikTok, etc with the intent to organically engage with consumers and “join the conversation” where appropriate
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
- Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing, Business, or related field.
- 2+ years experience with Digital Marketing and Consumer Support experience in a CPG environment.
- Experience working with Photoshop, Illustrator, or other graphic design software a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of empathy, creativity, and diplomacy. Ability to interact with all different kinds of people at all levels of the organization.
- Solid understanding of social media marketing from a consumer experience and brand perspective.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Strong project management skills with ability to meet timelines and deadlines.
- Effective verbal, written and presentation communication skills and ability to partner with team members of varying cultures, diversity, and based across the globe.
- Prior brand management experience in consumer-packaged goods preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and comfortable with changing priorities.
