Role

The Social Media Manager (SMM) manages content from concept to publish for Her First $100K’s (HFK) social media platforms by executing on highly engaging creatives and strategic brand growth. The SMM manages the content calendar, oversees interactions with the public across platforms, measures and monitors data, employs trends, and plans campaigns. Content mediums include photos, videos, graphics, copy, and/or audio.

With over 4 million online community members, we need an SMM who isn’t afraid to think outside the box, makes informed decisions by staying on top of data, ensures content supports stakeholder goals, and delivers content that adds value internally and externally.

Success in this role includes:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive growth and engagement strategy
  • Effectively engaging our online community through growth tactics and trending content
  • Leveraging tools for insights and trend forecasting
  • Creating content based on data and in alignment with HFK’s goals

The SMM reports to the Marketing Manager and works closely with the Partnerships and Community teams.

Core Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Run all company social media accounts
  • Design social media strategies to achieve marketing targets
  • Manage and maintain content calendar in ClickUp
  • Plan and publish original content that converts to all social media platforms
  • Engage with online communities and respond to comments in a timely manner
  • Pull testimonials and feedback from community members
  • Prepare reports (weekly, monthly, and annual) on performance and conversions
  • Monitor and measure data to optimize strategy and execution
  • Present analysis to Leadership and other departments in various meetings
  • Collaborate with Community, Product, Podcast, and Partnership teams to create campaigns
  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
  • Communicate with industry professionals via social media to foster a strong network
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools, and applications

Minimum Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience as a Social Media Manager for a media company and/or influencer (macro or mega tier)
  • Ability to translate stakeholder goals into engaging content
  • Ability to read data and inform decisions to meet goals
  • Ability to identify target audience preferences and trending content
  • Excellent multi-tasking and organization skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Understanding of HFK brand, voice, and tone
  • Experience with content editing tools, such as Photoshop, Canva, as well as natively in each platform
  • Proficient with Airtable, ClickUp, Slack, Google Workspace, and Loom
  • Degree in Marketing or relevant field preferred

  1. Location: Seattle, WA.
  2. Compensation: $70,000-$75,000 annual DOE
  3. Type of hire: This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position. Other candidates, consultants, and placement agency candidates will not be considered. 
  4. Benefits: Health insurance (medical, dental, vision), up to 4% 401k match, unlimited PTO (vacation, sick, family leave, bereavement, and jury duty), and 11 paid federal holidays.
  5. Perks: In addition to unlimited PTO, HFK offers 33 (over a full month per year) paid days off before PTO kicks in. Each quarter, the entire company takes 1 week off. This is to sustain wellness and productivity for all employees. These 20 paid days off are not deducted from PTO. HFK also offers 2 floating holidays per year, a monthly home equipment stipend, monthly team events, and more.
