Our small and mighty communications team is looking for a hands-on, imaginative, and engaging Digital Content Specialist to showcase Avelo’s Crewmembers (how we refer to our employees), values, destinations, operations, events and milestones across Avelo’s social media channels. We’re looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and highly motivated content creator and problem solver who loves working with people and is passionate about delivering exceptional social media experiences. Responsibilities
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining effective social media campaigns that drive brand visibility and engagement; content creation, influencer partnerships, and community management.
- Single-handedly produce (film, narrate, edit and package) a broad range of video content, including news-style stories, CEO/Leader messages, company news/updates, leadership development/training.
- Apply your expertise in curating captivating content, monitoring social media platforms, analyzing performance metrics, and maintaining a strong online presence across all social platforms.
- Support the development of written stories, messages and content (leader messages, articles, press releases, etc.). Chart an integrated editorial calendar that maps to company events and milestones, as well as external trends, national holidays and professional recognition days (e.g. International Flight Attendants Day, etc.).
- Regularly collaborate with storytelling, public relations, marketing, customer support & other teams internally.
- Use social platforms to increase brand visibility, deliver flight bookings and strengthen Customer loyalty.
- Manage and maintain Avelo’s social media platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok.
- Provide regular insights, analysis and reports on campaign and platform performance.
- Collaborate with marketing team to plan, execute and evaluate paid social media campaigns.
- Monitor and analyze SEO performance, analytics and customer behavior to further optimize social media and marketing tactics for improved website traffic, lead generation, and conversions.
- Support the development of written stories, messages and content (leader messages, articles, press releases, etc.).
- Chart an integrated editorial calendar that maps to company events and milestones, as well as external trends, national holidays and professional recognition days (e.g. International Flight Attendants Day, etc.).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or relevant field.
- 2-5 years’ experience as a proven social media expert.
- Extensive knowledge of SEO and digital marketing principles.
- Extensive experience producing all aspects of video content, including ideation, filming, editing, audio / music enhancement and graphics.
- Proficiency in social media management and monitoring tools (Sprout Social, Google Analytics, Hootsuite).
- Passion and expertise identifying, conceptualizing and storyboarding video content.
- Experience building and managing editorial calendars and production schedules.
- Copywriting, editing and proofreading skills.
- Ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
- Excellent understanding of social media algorithms, trends and best practices.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing social platforms and algorithms.
- Must be able to travel along the West Coast as needed.
- Must live (or relocate to) the Burbank, CA area.

Compensation: $70,000 - $75,000 plus potential bonus
May perform other responsibilities, as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate. (e.g., emergencies, changes in workload, rush jobs or technical developments, etc.)
