God’s Love We Deliver, a nonsectarian organization, cooks and home-delivers nutritious, medically tailored meals for people too sick to shop or cook for themselves. Founded in 1985 as a response to the AIDS pandemic, we now serve people living with more than 200 different diagnoses. To support the health and well-bei.ng of our clients, we provide ongoing nutrition assessment, education, and counseling, and advocate for food and nutrition support. God’s Love is a non-sectarian organization serving individuals living with illness, and their children and caregivers. With a community of thousands of volunteers, we deliver 3.6 million meals annually. All services are free to clients and full of love.
About the Role
The Seasonal Social Media and Website Coordinator supports the fast-paced Marketing & Communications Department with year-end content and strategy, collaborating closely with all agency departments, especially Philanthropy. The Coordinator supports all communications strategies and will help raise awareness of God’s Love through social media, celebrity, and influencer activations, and the website, helping to effectively deliver our message to the media, supporters, and the public at large. Superb written, verbal and editing skills, along with creativity and impeccable attention to detail will be essential in this role.
The Coordinator will help create and distribute social media content designed to engage various audiences and create awareness- and fundraising-focused social campaigns to raise awareness and increase the number of volunteers and donors.
The Coordinator will help tell our brand story through compelling, unique and customized content on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn, and be directly accountable for growth and engagement results.
The ideal candidate will be a creative, strategic, execution- oriented marketer with strong writing skills and creative mindset.
The Coordinator loves social media - has the ability to understand and activate on trend.
This is a full-time, seasonal position with a hybrid work schedule, beginning in November and ending on December 31, 2024.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Social Media and Website:
- Collaborate with Marketing & Communications team members to oversee editorial calendar and identify potential opportunities for cross-promotion for consistent messaging across all platforms.
- Draft and execute social media strategy for all tentpole moments across all channels
- Create and execute content for all social media networks - Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- In collaboration with MarComm team members, oversee social media community management.
- Be on-site for God’s Love We Deliver key tentpole moments ( e.g., Race to Deliver, Thanksgiving Day) to capture content for God’s Love social media channels & website content as needed.
- Create and/or curate social copy and content for all social media channels for God’s Love.
- Track, analyze, and optimize social media performance.
- Support basic website update needs.
- Sync with key team members on content strategy.
Communications + Other:
- Attend events to document and promote on social.
- Participate in agency events and cultivation activities as needed.
- Other duties in support of Director of Marketing & Communications, President & CEO and Executive Team as assigned.
About You:
You are a highly self-motivated and enthusiastic communications professional with a strong desire to provide support to clients living with a serious illness. You are looking for a collaborative, team-oriented environment. You are energized by turning information and client stories into engaging and shareable material across media.
In addition, you meet the following requirements:
- Minimum of two years of marketing, communications, or social media experience, preferably for mission-driven organizations.
- An exceptional writer and storyteller who can effectively engage an audience with content across multiple channels.
- Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in social media.
- Experience in developing, managing, and executing content strategy.
- Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
- Expertise on trends in fast changing social platforms.
- Experience in the influencer marketing space.
- Excellent verbal and written skills; exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities, and attention to detail.
- Can effectively navigate change, shift gears comfortably, and demonstrate good judgment in decision-making.
- Proven project management skills, able to manage schedules, timelines and demands effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and diplomacy skills; proven track record of interacting effectively with people and external stakeholders of diverse cultural and professional backgrounds and building and maintaining positive relationships to create change.
- Demonstrated excellence in prioritizing diversity and inclusion throughout marketing through words, visuals, and community engagement.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, RE NXT, Canto and Monday.com is a plus.
- Experience with WordPress, web content management.
