The PR, Social, Influencer and Events org is a global team of communications experts who support Expedia Group (EG) and its 3 flagship brands, Expedia, Hotels.com and Vrbo. We’re comprised of 6 core functions: PR, Corporate Communications, Media Relations, Social and Influencer, Events and Experiences, and Operations.
The Events and Experiences team designs and executes a highly strategic, best-in-class program of events and experiences in markets all around the world, delivering against specific business objectives whilst also working cumulatively to build awareness and relevance for our brands and products. Our output is expansive, spanning not only Travel but also Sport, Music, Lifestyle and Culture.

What You’ll Do
- Help to deliver consumer, partner and Influencer events and experiential activations that build relevance, buzz and demand for our products and brands
- Proactively lead strategy, ideation, planning, production, and execution of multiple types of events, activations, hospitality, and special projects across various audiences, including influencers, press, different consumer demographics, and industry
- Partner with other teams across EG, including Partnerships, B2B, Influencer Marketing, PR, Brand Marketing, Media Relations, to execute brand-specific or multi-brand experiences
- Activate against various sponsor-related events and programs, such as football (i.e. UEFA, Liverpool FC), college football (i.e. Fiesta Bowl & BCS), music (i.e. New Orleans Jazz festival)
- Manage agency and vendor relationships
- Collaborate with stakeholders on budget forecasting and ensure that live projects are delivered within budget across multifaceted campaigns
- Understand the different teams, stakeholders and needs across EG; able to develop and track measurable KPIs, driving towards objectives across multiple stakeholders and/or brands
Who You Are
- Someone with 8 - 10 years in-house experience in the events and experiential space
- You have a drive for attention to detail, high level of craft and excellent creative taste. You understand the importance of creativity and design, and the role it plays in delivering innovative, best-in-class work
- You’re able to establish credibility and build deep and trusted relationships with partners at all levels of the organization, as well as creative partners, agencies, and vendors to who can help us to up-level and push our work to be its absolute best
- You have strategic and critical thinking skills; able to see “big picture” while also being connected into details
- You can communicate effectively and concisely, tailoring your style to different audiences, with honed listening skills and an ability to hear and consider different and sometimes contrasting perspectives
- You’re adept at using data and to make appropriate decisions on trade-offs and prioritization
- Resilient and constructive when faced with change, able to shift approaches when needed in response to unexpected events and circumstances
- You thrive on identification of key processes to gain efficiencies, scale and actively simplifies complexity for project and cross-functional planning
- Clear understanding of the project planning, concept development, and production process and timing needs to successfully drive projects from strategy through execution
- Exceptional attention to detail, while still working under tight deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willing and able to travel to events and activations around the USA and in key international markets when required
The total cash range for this position in West Hollywood is $146,000.00 to $204,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $233,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
