What you'll be doing...

Verizon's Strategic Executive Communications team is looking for a Digital Media Manager who is tapped into social media, digital technology, consumer business, and social responsibility trends to join their high-impact team. You must be a self-starting, creative innovator with direct experience generating engaging content and managing social media platforms. As a Digital Media Manager, you will be responsible for administering C-suite social media accounts, designing creative graphics and videos to compliment social and thought leadership strategies, and tracking results with key performance indicators like visibility, engagement, and follower metrics. You will provide the voice for select C-suite across social channels and should be able to express our company's views creatively.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing executive social media strategy to align with business goals in support of the overall brand and Verizon's select C-suite reputation.
  • Creating, editing, publishing and sharing engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, graphics, videos and news).
  • Conducting market research on current trends and audience preferences.
  • Providing reporting on key social metrics.
  • Communicating and engaging with followers, respond to messages, and monitor comments in a timely manner.
  • Overseeing C-Suite social media accounts' design and implement new features where appropriate (header images, account bios, highlight sections, profile photos, etc.).
  • Staying up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications.
  • Working cross functionally across all communications functions and the broader enterprise to stay up to date on visibility moments, events, and product launches to amplify where appropriate on social channels.
  • Partnering closely with the Executive Communications team to contribute to executive thought leadership strategy and visibility planning while implementing comprehensive social plans for these key moments.

This role may be considered as part of the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel between Basking Ridge, NJ and NYC.
  • Willingness to travel as needed - up to 25% of the time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree in marketing, communications, media studies, and/or graphic design with six or more years of experience working as a content creator and/or social media manager.
  • Design thinking skills with experience developing highly creative digital campaigns across different platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills, writing ability, and digital savviness.
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to take a concept from ideation and strategy to execution autonomously.
  • Graphic design and video production experience.
  • Solid knowledge of social media optimization utilizing paid promotion, consumer insights, hashtags, SEO, and other digital tools to increase performance.
  • Executive or influencer social media and thought leadership strategy.
  • Experience working with all levels of management, including senior executives.
  • Constant curiosity and a fascination for the world of technology and its broader societal impact.
  • Business to consumer knowledge and overall business acumen.
  • Experience with high executive visibility.
  • Ability to manage projects and people autonomously.
  • Willingness to learn and grow at a fast-paced, Fortune 16 organization.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington work location, the compensation range for this position is between $128,000.00 and $239,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
