Executive Director, Consumer Marketing

We are seeking an experienced and driven Executive Director, Consumer Marketing, to join our Marketing Team. This role provides an exciting opportunity to strategically execute the consumer marketing strategy across our portfolio of aesthetic products. In this role, you will drive brand awareness, audience engagement, treatment consideration, with responsibilities spanning across the consumer journey. This role will develop and manage the social media strategy, influencer marketing strategy, and lead social-first creative storytelling to create high-impact content across platforms.
You should be comfortable in uncharted territory as we envision unique and differentiated solutions for our customers in an otherwise legacy market. Deep understanding of social media best-practice for modern beauty/aesthetics brands and experience with influencer marketing and paid social is a must. You should have experience in a global 360-marketing organization with a focus on industry-leading social media and influencer activations. Let’s talk about some of the key responsibilities of the role:
- Create and lead execution on a consumer-facing strategy aligned to marketing objectives and business goals, both within individual brands and across the aesthetics portfolio, including the development of creative assets, media, and content
- Lead consumer marketing projects including annual brand planning, and other key projects as assigned
- Create and own consumer strategy for current products and the go-to-market (GTM) strategy and produce promotional tactics, materials and programs needed to support the brand strategy and objectives
- Partner closely with Director of Professional marketing, other US aesthetic brand team members, thought leader liaisons, and field teams to incorporate key insights
- Ability to partner closely with Medical and Compliance teams at all levels
- Consumer strategy and oversight of team responsible for day-to-day execution
- Liaise with global and regional commercial, medical affairs and other functional colleagues to gain alignment on objectives, advance projects from inception to completion, and ensure delivery as well as post-roll-out assessment
- Spearhead media planning for social, working with agencies and platforms to optimize spend and management of key deliverables
- US Consumer Marketing budget development, oversight and monthly reconciliation
- Lead, mentor and accelerate the experience and success of team members ensuring strong leadership and collaboration
- Manage branded website properties, including updates, new content/tools, and search engine optimizations
- Regularly monitor website engagement and recommend enhancements
- Regularly review paid search and social ad analytics and direct optimizations
- Represent the brand in the review and approval process of promotional initiatives
- Monitor and manage inventory of consumer marketing resources
- Partner with organic search agency to recommend new search strategies
- Monitor competitive promotional activity
- Lead with passion, humility, humor and contagious optimism
Your Skills and Qualifications:
- BA/BS Degree required; MBA preferred
- 10+ marketing experience required with a preference for relevant aesthetic marketing and/or pharmaceutical/beauty/fashion/advertising/communications agency experience
- Expertise in consumer marketing fundamentals, including ROI, marketing mix, creative development and agency management
- 5+ years of relevant work experience driving buzzworthy, high impact social media and influencer campaigns, delivering creative excellence and meeting business objectives
- Ability to articulate and execute a vision and strategy with brand continuity across priority platforms, including IG, TikTok, YouTube, and regional social platforms.
- Expertise working across multiple projects and managing multiple external vendors with strong understanding of the creative process and ability to effectively collaborate and deliver on project goals
- Deep analytical experience and ability to evaluate social metrics and apply a data-centric approach to testing and optimizing content
- Natural problem solver with team-oriented attitude and demonstrated success as a valued colleague within a cross-functional team
- Experienced in managing tactics through the regulatory approval process
- Professional, proactive demeanor with extremely high standards and attention to detail
- Ability to proactively plan and manager program timelines, budgets and expenses
- Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead a team and influence key stakeholders
- Proven ability to attract, recruit and retain top talent, motivate the team, delegate effectively, celebrate diversity within the team and manage performance
- The ability to create a sense of purpose/meaning for the team that generates followership beyond their own personality and engages others to the greater purpose of the organization as a whole
A Few Other Items Worth Mentioning:
- Office Location - Newport Beach (hybrid onsite Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)
- Requires approximately 20% travel, including some overnight and weekend commitments
- Position reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer
Compensation & Total Rewards
The expected pay range for this position is $208,200 - $270,740. Your actual base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on a number of considerations including but not limited to role relevant knowledge and skills, experience, education, certifications, and more.
