Summary
The Senior Manager Marketing is primarily responsible for developing and executing compelling influencer marketing campaigns that drive new student growth and institutional credibility. This position will also create and manage an outside team of influencers, and an SEO agency, and work closely with marketing and leadership staff across the university.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The goal of this role is to develop a marketing plan and lead an external team that interacts with students on third-party platforms, ensure that the university is being discussed in educational forums, manage SEO efforts and website performance, expand and refine our prospect email efforts, and identify business and educational partners that can assist in student recruitment. Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Develop and execute a plan that assists the university in promoting the strengths of our degree programs in the online forum market as well as other relevant digital sites where students look for information.
- Recruit and manage a team of outside influencers (alumni, others) to participate in student conversations on social platforms like Reddit, Twitter, and others relating to educational and professional healthcare career goals.
- Promote faculty leadership activities by working closely with the Communications Marketing Manager to develop content.
- Create, develop, implement, track, and optimize paid prospecting email marketing plans that connect with students.
- Create, develop, and implement select marketing events targeted at building institutional credibility and connecting with students.
- Accountable for managing an agency partner focused on improving SEO performance of two websites. Development of content plans, backlinks, and technical site performance.
- Assist in the development of paid marketing campaigns to include but not limited to digital, print, radio, TV, and social media channels.
- Track performance of marketing tactics through measurement and analysis of prospective student inquiries, applications, and starts to understand effectiveness and ROI.
- Provide leadership and management of marketing programs to ensure the achievement of the enrollment goals in a manner consistent with the University's mission and strategic plan.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in marketing or a related field.
- Five plus years of marketing management experience. Prefer experience in high consideration direct to consumer products/services categories or education.
- Ideally experience in membership marketing and/or direct-to-consumer.
- Knowledge of the use of digital media and digital marketing tactics as a direct response tool for inquiry generation and/or e-commerce transactions.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and lead support members.
- Experience working with agencies and managing relationships.
- Experience in developing and executing tactical elements of a marketing plan.
- Strong presentation and meeting facilitation skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- A good listener, collaborator, and influencer.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytic skills.
- Ability to guide creative development specifically content across digital platforms.
- High level of enthusiasm, functions well in a team-driven and highly dynamic environment.

Language Skills
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Word Processing Software (Word); Electronic Mail Software (Outlook); Email platforms (example, Mailchimp); and Presentation software (PowerPoint).
