As VP, Influencer and Social Media Practice Lead, you will:

  • Serve as the leader for the Influencer and Social Media team, providing leadership and strategic guidance to a team of high-performing influencer marketing and social media professionals
  • Manage staffing and account allocation for members of the social media & influencer team
  • Oversee the team’s development of influencer and social media marketing strategies rooted in cultural storytelling and backed by data and analytics, connecting to broader integrated creative and digital marketing plans for clients
  • Establish and grow strong, trusted relationships with senior marketing, communications and C-Suite clients across Phaedon by providing POVs and strategic counsel grounded in an understanding of their business challenges and opportunities
  • Use your knowledge and expertise to guide new and existing clients on influencer, social and digital concepts and opportunities
  • Actively uncover and lead organic growth and new business opportunities for Phaedon
  • Foster an entrepreneurial and collaborative team environment that encourages proactive thinking and creative problem solving, with a passion for delivering the best possible work
  • Manage and mentor the social media and influencer team, account leaders and emerging leaders, guiding career growth and development to elevate strategies in pursuit of flawless execution
  • Manage team growth and utilization across the organization
  • Partner with peers and relevant discipline leaders (e.g. Creative, Strategy, Analytics, Media Relations) to establish opportunities – including building and/or improving processes and developing POVs – that drive the business and the agency forward

As a Partner, Influencer and Social Media Practice Lead, you will have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of experience in multi-faceted influencer, social media and integrated communications roles, ideally with agency experience
  • A deep knowledge and understanding of:
    • The current and evolving social media platforms and an ability to develop strategies per channel and/or platform
    • Social media and digital analytics, including the tools and KPIs that demonstrate ROI for clients
    • Social strategy development and a track record of successful strategy implementation
    • The end-to-end process of influencer marketing, including the development of contracts, briefing templates, content strategies, and results recaps
    • The latest regulatory and promotional rules for influencer and social content, including FTC guidelines, proper disclosures, and best practices
  • The ability to advise team members on how to best tie social and influencer strategies back to client business objectives, and guide team members in the development compelling influencer and social media plans for clients that live across their digital ecosystem
  • Experience providing strategic counsel to all key stakeholders across the agency and clients (including account teams, vendor partners, influencers & creators)
  • Experience counseling senior level clients (C-suite) on influencer marketing, social and digital media strategies
  • Experience across client sectors, ideally including CPG and beverage brands
  • An interest in the intersectionality between paid, earned and owned, connecting the dots to take strategies and programs to the next level
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and a passion for compelling storytelling
  • Track record of solving complex brand challenges, with an ability to balance “tried and true” approaches with innovative ideas that push clients and teams to take smart risks
  • Management experience with a strong collaborative mindset, able to coach and inspire next-gen talent through consistent feedback
  • Ability to travel as required
