The Head of Strategy & Operations will be based at our Lingo headquarters in the Bay Area, CA.

This high visibility, high impact role will provide vision; strategy; leadership; and direction for operations to achieve and maintain the highest standards of quality; customer satisfaction; delivery; service; and manufacturing capability to accomplish business and division goals at competitive costs.

Create and meet short- and long-term business goals to support our customer and business requirements through: Direct or indirect management of third party and related party manufacturers. Lead and support key strategic and tactical initiatives to optimize performance of Supply Chain and manufacturing.

Manage the Project Management Office, which organizes and oversees the key initiatives/priorities of the business. This includes; reviewing and evaluating business procedures, managing business process changes, establishing quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the businesses efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated, and improving day-to-day operations across teams.

Leads coordination and integration of efforts among operations, engineering, technology, product, customer service and DTC to produce a smoother workflow and more cost-effective business processes.

What You’ll Work On

  • Strong coordination and collaboration with all teams.
  • Participate with counterparts in Finance; Quality; Medical Affairs, Legal, Regulatory, Product, Tech, and Marketing to ensure achievement of business unit operations goals.
  • Establishes quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines, and standards by which the businesses efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business procedures.
  • Implements policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations.
  • Work with peers in R&D to support new product development; on-market and LRP strategies.
  • Provide vision; definition; and implementation of long-range material management; manufacturing and business improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and track goals and objectives to assure annual improvements in operational performance; cost; product quality; productivity; and customer satisfaction. Establish effective measurement systems for performance to assure meeting quality, customer and cost expectations.
  • Responsible for planning; budgeting and spending authorization.
  • Develop processes; define system requirements; and assume responsibility for the system integration to support supply chain operations (inclusive of OEMs).
  • Establish effective life cycle management programs.
  • Determine system requirements and technologies needed to maintain and improve performance.
  • Enforce compliance of personnel with administrative policies; procedures; safety rules; and governmental regulations.
  • Serve as senior level representative on cross-organizational; cross-plant; cross-division and corporate materials and operations initiatives.
  • Serve as supply chain interface on new product transition to manufacturing.
  • Direct investigations into causes of customer complaints related to supply chain operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Finance; Science or Business
  • 12 years related experience required, including 5 years of management experience
  • Strong operational background
  • Strong influencer, great at cross functional collaboration, bias for action, and understanding of strategic priorities
