Description
The primary responsibilities of the marketing coordinator will be supporting the Kona Kai San Diego and San Diego Mission Bay Resort.
Kona Kai Resort is a boutique urban resort located on Shelter Island. With 170 guestrooms, Kona Kai Resort is home to Vessel Restaurant + Bar, SpaTerre, a Marina and a Private club, all located just minutes from downtown San Diego. San Diego Mission Bay Resort is a sprawling 347 - room resort, boasting multiple dining options, two pools, a private beach, fire pits and so much more. We are excited to welcome a new Marketing Coordinator to our resorts.
This energetic, highly organized, and creative marketing coordinator will be a resource for any on-property marketing needs for both resorts. This individual will assist in producing content for the properties’ digital and print marketing efforts, email campaigns, social media, collateral creation and facilitation, assist with influencer and media visits, as well as other marketing functions as needed. This position plays a vital role in the development, implementation, and execution of the strategic marketing plan for these properties.
Digital & Print Marketing Coordination
- Assist Director of Marketing with executing e-blast requests scheduled in the marketing calendar promoting packages, events, and offers. Prepare monthly reports highlighting key metrics including revenue generated from each e-blast.
- Submit website updates including new images, packages, and other content as needed.
- Continually review website content to ensure information is accurate professionally written and aligns with brand standards.
- Work with on property managers to request website updates pertinent to their departments.
- Execute a quarterly audit and update of all third-party partner websites to ensure they have accurate and updated content and images, including OTAs and wholesalers.
Social Media Coordination
- Assist with daily management of social media calendar including writing posts as well as assigning appropriate subjects/themes to staff assisting with social media posts. The social media calendar will include posts for both hotels utilizing Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest. This position will be required to meet goals for increases in followers and engagement; throughout all posts the marketing coordinator will maintain a consistent voice on behalf of the properties and outlets.
- Curate content for social media posts including photos and video as well as conceptualize and create eye-catching images for posts.
- Coordinate with our digital marketing agency with social media advertising.
- Research and implement social media trends as they relate to travel; have a thorough understanding of competitive set social media efforts; identify local influencers to expand social media outreach.
- Prepare monthly reports on social media engagement and key metrics outlined including consumption, sharing, lead generation, and sales/revenue generated through social media efforts and campaigns. Track and provide monthly report on referrals through Google Analytics.
Outlet Marketing Management
- Manage all advertising, social media, e-blasts, and in-house marketing for all hotel outlets. Meet with managers bi-weekly to determine upcoming marketing and promotional needs.
- Assist with marketing collateral projects through the Noble House online request portal.
- Work with managers to develop in-house promotions and campaigns driving guests to the outlets.
Collateral and Media Management
- The marketing coordinator will be a key liaison with the in-house design team at Noble House to ensure the timely delivery of all requested marketing collateral as well as work with managers to assist them with marketing project requests through the online portal.
- Collaborate with sales and catering team to produce presentations, menus, flipbooks, and other required materials using the Noble House marketing request portal.
- Prepare seasonal concierge activity flipbooks.
- Work with rooms divisions at each hotel to request and produce any in-room and public space collateral.
- Source printers to use for collateral projects when required.
- Review and report on all marketing request activity, status and results each month.
- Organize, maintain, and update photography and video assets stored on Box. Organization includes standardization of image naming, using tags to identify images, and assisting staff to access media.
Requirements
To be successful in the Marketing Coordinator position, you should:
- Foster a passion for travel and hospitality, ideally with experience working in hotels or within the hospitality industry.
- have strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- have Experience writing and executing marketing or social media campaigns.
- Copywriting experience required.
- Project management experience also a plus
- are Detail-oriented and organized; you're someone who strives for accuracy and efficiency with strong time management skills.
- have a thorough understanding of social media and digital marketing channels.
- obtain solid computer skills including competence with MS Office Suite.
- have the ability to think creatively and innovatively.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong desire to deliver high quality guest service.
